    Hey everyone, come out to Bonelli Park in San Dimas, September 14th "Saturday" for a Solo or Team 6 hour mtb marathon. 9am to 3pm. The original flyer stated only beginners can do teams, but we've changed that to teams being open for Expert, Sport and Single Speed too. Check www.CycleEventsCompany.com for all the info and details about this event. So far we've been getting a lot of interest. Talk to ya'll soon.

    Pre-ride this Saturday for Turn & Burn. Meet at 7:30 am at Via Verde & 57 park & ride.
    Look for the Red & Blk, Red Zone kits. We should be rolling at 8:00 am.
    2 laps. 1st laps is steady, 2nd lap is a hot lap for those hammer heads.
    Then we'll finish off by riding the rest of the trails there.
    The more the merrier. Any takers?

    the teams will have 2 persons each. Choose the rider to start the first lap. You can take turns doing laps each 1 at a time or you can do 2 laps each. Or if some one doesn't feel they can do as many laps as their partner, then they can do 2 laps for 1 rider and 1 laps other rider. For a team to be considered completing the race, each rider per team must do at least 2 laps. Final lap must be done by 3pm.

    I hope this helps. R u coming out Saturday?

    I'm planning on doing this, but am going to wait and see what the weather looks like. I wouldn't want to pedal around Bonelli for 6 hours in 90 degree heat. Hoping it cools off a little and it should be a great race.

    3rd pre.ride today and rolled with about 12 riders. Online registration closes Wednesday at 11.45 pm. Don't let the heat keep you away. Do the 2 man if you think it's too hot for solo. We are working really hard to bring local mtb events and dates and venues are very limited. I did the Freedom 50 miler Racers and Chasers put in Escondido last week. That's a solo out & back. And boy was it hot! I walk to talk fellas, so come on out. See ya soon.

    Mountain bike endurance racing seems awesome, and this seems like a great event. I thought seriously about doing this event, but the logistics of doing the solo and combined with lack of mountain experience are a little daunting. With the type of heat we had this past weekend, I'd expect to need 12 - 15 bottles of water/carb mix in this 6 hour event and 6 -8 Clif Bars or equivalent. How do the feeds work in this race and this type of race? I will definitely attend some of the shorter races you're putting on.

    At the start/finish line there will be an area to set up your own feed zone that you can stock with what ever you need.
    at the half way point, we will have a self serve water/heed feed zone. i recommend you find yourself a partner and do the team class.
    i've done both solo 6 hours and a 2 man dawn to dusk event. my preference is the 2 man.
    there was a request froma 50+ year old gentleman looking for a partner. i sent the message to 1 person so far.
    1st come 1st serve on this partner for beginner 2 man team. send me an email, [email protected] so i can get you set up with a partner.
    let me know.

    I got to get out there and ride it this morning. So pumped on it. I think its a great course for racing. Plus for my wife I like how she could be in the middle and see the whole race. I always like racing at Bonelli but Omar truly did a great job putting the course together!

    I dont know about people, well us normal folk doing 12 laps. My garmin had it @ 975' of climbing per lap which is a little different then what the website says. Doesnt much matter as we are all doing the same but just so you can be prepared.

    975 feet of climbing X 12 is 11,700 ft for the race......thats a good workout don't ya think....This is going ot be a great event, with local shops and sponsor coming out to support is going to be awesome.
