just wondering if its a good or bad thing for more all mountain riding?

im a fat boy:) that rides pretty hard and i have NO experiance what so ever with tubeless systems but i really like the idea of not flating out on thorns and such... is this just something for weight wenies or can this be a good thing for all rider types?

    thanks ahead of time

I went totally tubeless on all of my bikes! I graduated from ghetto tubeless to buying tubeless wheels and tires. The only time I use a tube is if I flat on the trail and can't get the tire to seal back up.

BTW, there are many threads on this subject already:

    Weight savings is minimal.
    Flats are less frequent.
    Ride is more supple.
    Maintenance is more critical.
Riding over vegetation isn't a concern.

    Personally, I like tubeless.

Tubeless is awesome. The sheer fact of being able to run lower pressure makes it well worth it.

Tubeless is the way to go, just check the Stan's every 3 months if you ride 4 times a week like our Group. Good Luck

You'll know when the Stan's is gone because you'll have a flat that doesn't seal up. And big holes can be patched from the inside with a patch kit and some care.
Just be careful of running your pressure waaay too low. You'll get a pinch flat on the bead that can't be fixed or sealed by the Stans fluid.
This usually happens when the tire is brand new...stupid new tires.

i cant even count the numbers of flates i pass up when riding......even if you go tubbliss carry a tube and duct tape for the real bad day...for big blow outs sidwall damage...

and it only eats up the tires if you dont use UST tires...!!!
