Excellent race today! Course reminded me a little of the old races at Bonelli since part of it ran along the back side towards the 10. Hot like a mother..... Painful climbing but it's the sadistic stuff we yearn for. 29ers rule on the race course. Can't make up for a bad rider but for a course like the one today it must have been great.

The best part was the organization of the event ! As always Omar and Co. put together a great event. Thanks also to SC Velo and Incycle for sponsoring!

That was a hot ride out there! 4 laps in the heat was a true test of endurance and suffering capacity. I had fun and was pleased with the results, but I definately faded more than I normally do. No doubt, the heat and a tired body contributed to that. The event was run very smoothly and I'm glad to see the turn-out was a bit more than the last two races. Thanks to all the staff and volunteers!

First real cat 1 race. the extra distance combined with the heat made for a hard effort, but tons of fun. cant wait for mt. sac.

    anyone got any pictures?

Nice pics, I didn't recognize too many STR peeps out there yesterday. It was hot as hell! I had a pretty rough race. I dropped my chain twice(need a bashguard for my 1x9) and I had to turn around at the beginning of the second lap to fill up my water bottle because I lost my second one somewhere on the downhill section :( DOH! I liked last years course better I think.

It was a great course...very grueling and hot, but super fun. I liked the variety of the course and the great organization of the event, just wish I could go faster :)
    Thanks organizers and volunteers!

i wanna say thanks (on behalf of sc velo) to all who came out to race, cheer and volunteer to put the incycle xc challenge on. after i saw the racers come thru the 1st lap, i knew you were in for a battle. more of a mental battle than one of an opponent. we have round #4 nov. 6 @ mt sac. i hope you all come back and bring a friend to race with you. see you all in about a week & a half.
