    sweeeeet!

Transition just got them in yesterday. No raw on this production run unfortunately, but these are pretty wicked. 31 pounds on a stock build. And it's Hammerschmidt ready.

Is it me, or does it kinda look chinsey/cheap? The swooping tubes almost look like a mistake to me. The seatstays/chainstays look fragile. The headtube re-enforcement look visually heavy compared to the rest of the bike. Again, just my "subjective" thoughts.

The seat stays & chainstays in the proto are round & in the final production run they are squared off. I'm sure it is burly, as all other Transition frames are. It's not a DH bike and not meant to be. The guys up at Transition are loving this bike, and they all ride, and they ride alot...so...

Final Covert 3D Drawing With New Rear End
We actually made a change to the rear end of the bike from what is shown on our prototype and press release. For the production models coming in the next couple of weeks we opted to go with a rectangular shape with a nice radius to match up with the rest of the tubes on the bike.

Is that the e2 head tube set up like on my Trek???

1 1/8" top 1.5" bottom or 1.5 top and bottom?

*edit: went to site and it is like the Trek.

    Sweet looking ride though!

Zip, what size do you ride? They only make a Large, not extra large. #-o But it has a 24.25 eff. top tube, so it might be doable. I am 6'5" and wouldnt want to buy one that is too small.:-k

Hey man, I ride a large. I'm 6'1" - but a long 6'1" - long legs, long arms. Transition kinda wants people on smaller bikes - it makes sense if you look at where they ride and test their bikes - tight, twisty st thru the trees with jumps, gaps, berms, ladders etc. all over the place. Call Mike Metzger up at Transition, that guy's a monolith, and super cool & helpful too.

A day in the life of Transition Bikes - Covert arrival day video
Just whipped up a vid to show yall how our ship floats over here at Transition Bikes!

Pinkbike video: A Day in the Life of - TBC New Product Arrival

Last week we were proud to announce availability of our freshly revamped Covert bike. We wasted no time in unveiling these beauties and Kyle's bike was the first to be built up and ready for the trails. Since then, we've been working overtime getting these bikes out the door and in the shops, so if you wanna see one in person, check out your local Transition dealer or just be on the lookout on your local trails or upcoming events like the Hood River Super D this weekend in Oregon. Cam Burnes, our US Dealer Sales Manager and star of our video, will be in Hood River this weekend racing the Super D on his Covert alongside some other Covert-equipped racers from Hood River's Transition dealer, Dirty Fingers Bike Shop.

Word from the source - one of TBC's guys at Dirty Fingers bike shop just won the Hood River Super D Pro Class on his brand new Covert this weekend. Rad! If I can find a link or pic I'll post.
