Considering trading my Demo 7 for a DH bike. Please let me know if you are interested and what you have.

I will also consider selling it for $1750. Please let me know if you are interested.

Very plush and well balanced in the air.

like what I've read somewhere... trim or cut a piece of the rubber bumpstop on the rear sus of demo 7 and they say you get a little less than or almost 8" of travel :?:

Pull the spacer out of the shock, and put an 8 inch fork on it. You pretty much have a demo 8, but with the added benefit of a 1.5 head tube.

Thanks for the recommendations! I've thought about it. Anyone interested in swapping an 8" fork for my totem?

Wow the threads on this site never cease to amaze me...

So your saying that you need more of a DH oriented bike with more travel cause the Demo 7 you currently have is not cutting it for DH riding????

ok I'll bite for the pure entertainment value,

Can you please explain what exactly about the Demo 7 is not cutting it for you and the need for the extra .25 inches of travel (I'm REALLY assuming you know about the plastic travel reducer in the DHX 4.0 on Demo 7's..REEEALLY hoping here)

I pulled the clip and hung a 08 Boxxer Team of the front. I never felt like I needed more travel on anything I've ridden so far.

    Gotta love that Winter Series.

Not that the Demo can't handle DH, I am leaning more towards a different fork, like what slickshoe671 did. Just considering swapping the fork or complete bike...and yes, I knew about the travel reducer.

Did anybody at Sea Otter see Sam Hill do a one DH practice run on my bike (above)? I ask him to sign my sign it, he did, then asked to have a go. He said he loved the way the Demo 7 felt with the Boxxer on front. Yes, I'm full of $hit, but that would have been cool.

    bigger than 203mm?

I did, but the money I put aside for the SO trip, I spent on a T2 rack and a 09 Giant STP SS. I kinda regret it though.

    Correct me if I'm wrong... isn't a Demo 7 a DH bike?
