Last night during our weekly night ride on the Loop I took a spill dropping down into the train track section before golf course. Front wheel hit a rock or rut and tacoed. Managed to pull the front over it to avoid going otb, but when I pushed the turn my front tire lost air and washed out. Nothing major, just some rash and bruised my hip/side enough to give me a good limp for the next few. The real reason for the post is to say thanks to JSD, Terry, and Doris for stopping and making sure I was alright. They walked me back and Doris even gave me a lift home, bc I ride to the loop since i live in Fullerton. Some serious kindness from people I hardly know. I won't forget it, and will make sure to extend the kindness to the next rider down. To the guys who blew past me... It's all good. I got a ride home from a former world champ. What an angel.
The Loop regulars are a great crew. Also it's the Fully Loop, so everyone is used to helping people who break down or crash.
Glad you're ok; I've gone otb in that same spot. Good group of guys that still get out and ride that thursday night ride.
Title should have also said "and the Lady", heal up soon. See you on the loop soon. Thanks Doris for giving him a ride home.
