I ran them for a while......2 of them to be exact.

Ran them only on the rear......tubed on a Velocity Blunt & CB Iodine.

Really liked it on just about every condition I threw at it.

Fast tire.....and lots of grip, even torquing down on them on the SS. A little heavy 700g+ for a 2.20.

What I didn't like......wore out way too fast....both of them.

    Bottom line.....I'd run them again.

I no longer have the frame so I can't check but I would have to say possibly but doubtful.

Well I just changed my stock tires on my S-Works Enduro

Excellent tires with great grip, fast cornering in most conditions(Southridge,Turnbull, Hulda Crook, and Marshall Camyon) I did a stink o htme last week when it wa raining up Turnbull and they grip good as well going up 7th st climb but coming down the mud was just way to thivk in the backside and lost grip in the switchbacks but once on the bottom even with covered tired they gripped well and cleaned up pretty good once up to speed. The 2.4 front looks the same as the 2.3 rear but the grip on both are even and feels like the bike is something diffeent and on rails. Braking is awesome, change of directions is great to and the tires are lighter then what I took off which I guess helps. I raced Fontana Super D and on some of the trails they get crazy off camber areas and the tires held there lines with no problem and did great in the rocky sections. PCA is coming up will do that so these should be at home. I will try Wicked Wills next during summer for the hard pack socal dirt.

I'm liking the HD front and rear the last couple months for all-around from dry to the current tacky, from smooth carvy trails to chunk/rocky. 2.35 trailstar compound snakeskin run tubeless on UST rims, about 28 psi. I'm 180lb geared up. May try a bit lower psi, what psi do you run? Are you running them tubeless?
I thought the wicked wills are way heavy (1300g?) for trail but good for dh.

Great contribution.....makes me want to run out and buy a set, right now.

This a review thread.....not a "hey this is what I run" thread.

I'm running tubeless on both.....30-35psi depends on the trail we are riding ..... the Wicked Will are a lil heavy but are great for socal dirt that is hardpack or loose dirt over hardpack. But your really not going to feel those tires going up or down imo.

I just did a run up Marshall Canyon and they hooked up on the diff wet dirt in the shady areas and great on the fire roads and hardpack trails. Much better feeling then the stock ones. Braking was instant and great feeling and I caught myself over braking in some corners but it gives you that I can push deeper into a corner or curves. GLOUEY GOUEY Compound works hands down..this was on the Fat Alberts and hans dampf front and rear set up.

No review needed, the minion is the ultimate tire in the traction department and work great out in socal. I run the exo model in 2.5 and they only weIgh a little over 800 grams each which is awesome for a true dh treaded tire. Love em

I am aware of the tire.....have run them in the past.

However, this IS a review thread, so tell us a little more about them.

I've ran minion exo's with stans tubeless on flow rims and have had them burp several times and blow out and warp the bead on a couple of them. Yes you can run them tubeless and others have probably had better luck than me doing it but I wouldn't recommend it for super agressive riding or racing.

Every aggressive rider ive seen running tubeless that has any kind of weight on them has had issues running tubeless. Sometimes it gets outright dangerous. I stay away

Too bad the amateurs who build stuff don't make it very easy to ride it smooth. Some builders' designs can create sort of a rapport with a rider, maybe due to consistency and thoughtful consideration, and allow you to fly off of ramps on your first time coming across them, with blind faith, like at the nicer bike parks. Not-so-good builders leave you with broken bikes, parts, and bones, despite the rider scouting a line out first, like at the Fully Loop. I wonder if people buy burlier bikes and bike components partly due to their want of conquering such features on the fully loop, that they see more skilled riders doing; of course the new bike purchase will be used on lift served trails on the side.

Well, add me to the list of people in love with the Schwalbe Hans Dampf. I've been riding either a 2.4" or 2.25" Schwalbe Fat Albert front for the past couple years and always loved their grip and predictability. And while they roll better than you'd expect from such a toothy tire, they're a bit heavy for my casual XC/trail riding. Enter Mr. Dampf.

At a claimed 765 grams for the 26" x 2.35" Snakeskin Evo Trailstar version, the HD shaves 125 to 230 grams of rolling weight compared to either of the front tires I'd been running. That's enough to immediately feel at the pedals, yet the grip is still fantastic. So far I've used it for two rides totaling about 33 miles and 5,300 feet of climbing, with surfaces ranging from smooth hardpack to gravel to a little chunk and a bit of sand & mud - pretty much everything we see on our local SoCal trails. It's handled everything great and gave me the confidence to get numerous PR's, both uphill and down. I'm stoked!

Sweet. Nothing but good review about the hans dampf. Can you update in a couple of weeks about wear though? Im running the nobby nic front and every ride I can notice the tread get thinner and thinner. Only been a month and its halfway gone
