Yes, some baby step skill building features would be great for the VAST majority that ride SS. BUT they also need to get the trail crew to the other side of the hill where most of the steepness is and make an actual DH trail. The zigzag sidewalks are fun and all but after a couple laps on each they get boring, and feel like a NASCAR race with all the variety's of skill levels you have to try and watch out for. The day they have a legit DH on the trail map, and bike trays on the chair lifts I will officially consider Big Bear back from the dead.

It will happen but not this year! They need the ecological study to be completed before they can build anymore trails, It's a year long study.. However, they are working on a true green run that will take many off the "other" trails. Anticipated opening day is 4th of July weekend.

I'm planning several trips to get the "tech" fix. I will still ride Summit.

Trust me I miss the Tech trails! I am a WAY better tech rider than jumper. Although I took a clinic with Andrew Cho bettering my drops and berms berms at Whistler, so I am really enjoying the berm skills practice on Turtle.

Can I start whining about lippy jumps yet and how all the other bike parks I've ridden have more progressive features that do not assume that the vast majority of us want to plummet eight feet out of the sky? Give me more stuff like the step-down at the beginning of Cruiser (PW). And rocks... I like rocks...

    No?

OK, I'll go back to flopping on and off the tables and skipping the gaps. I hate recovering from injury!

Herz, I'm not a big fan of the steepness of many of the lips. I'd love to see more flatter jumps and step downs. The step down in the beginning of Cruiser is fun.

I got in a few runs today. Miracle Mile was pretty good. Party wave was fun and the first table had an interesting surprise, deep PUDDLE!!! Westridge was good. The new wallride is fun. It's not steep but it is long. The next three tables are odd. First is short and steep, second is steep and too long, third is steep but doable. I hope the dial in those tables by toning down the lips.
