Guys thanks for checking on Ryan !! no he's doing great (no injuries thankfully) and still riding. We will be in Big Bear on Sunday but we haven't ridden a ton since getting back from Whistler just due to some other stuff he's been doing this summer.. my wife has been keeping him pretty busy.. we've also been golfing but the bike is priority one as always.. in fact here are a couple of pics from last week at Oaks. See you at Summit on Sunday! Ryan BTW can't wait to try and kill that new wooden monstrosity on MM!

Awesome! I agree - I like it better than my friend's dh bike for Summit. Tho I think I'd want more travel if I were to attempt casing-I mean clearing that new wood launcher on MM.

Even then he probably has less doctor visits.

I did 4 runs on Party Wave before they shutdown the lifts due to lightning yesterday.

I definitely need more practice. I'm looking forward to the next time I get to go up there.

There have been a lot of weather related temp shutdowns this season so far.. definitely don't recall anywhere near as much of the lightning last season.. sure hope this summer weather translates into some snow this winter season! Come on El Nino

Seems about the same as last year. Last year they didn't post as much about weather related lift shutdowns.

This year has been alot of Lightning storms, last year and before it was always an hour of rain and then business as usual.

Well… we launched our new feature on Miracle Mile last Saturday and so far we’ve been pleasantly stoked with the reaction from riders! Before this new feature’s launch Saturday morning, Trail Crew added pavers to the berm into the new feature and just yesterday they added more bank to end of that same berm. After last week’s big project (that being the new wood feature mentioned above) Trail Crew got down to the nitty gritty this week. This week was an endless stream of days spent resurfacing jump take-offs, rebuilding berms and all around trail maintenance. Needless to say, the Bike Park is in excellent shape after this work!Be sure to enjoy some midweek riding this month to avoid the crowds and enjoy prime conditions on the trails!

It could be coincidence but I've noticed on the facebook, when people comment on certain photo's sometimes the park builders seem to act on those comments. They are not going to make everyone happy but they do seem to be making an effort and some positive adjustments. Some Examples, before the new rock gardens, people complained of lack of gnar. Summits reaction was to build new rock gardens, granted a few are a little awkward but that rainbow rock garden is awesome! With the new booter a rider or two made the suggestion to bank the berm more so it's better to carry speed and summit did exactly that. Will see how it turns out this weekend. Btw, westridge has turned out to be my favorite run! Not sure if I've just gotten used to the jumps, or if they have been tweaked a little but they are becoming really fun especially on my endo. Muscle beach is rad and flows so well. If the park builders are reading this post, please increase the angle to the wall ride and maybe curve it a bit.

Hey Bing if you're directing that at me I wasn't mentioning anything about lippy, just asking Ed a question.. seems like I see some of your "eees tooo leeepee" comments out there whenever I'm posting in the thread.. I've given up on the lippy comments.. :?:

I'm liking the rock gardens...challenging enough to be fun and interesting, but totally doable by a weekend warrior like myself.

What is "Muscle Beach"? A section of Westridge?

Its not about you man. I joke about the ramps coz its about all I can really do ever since my crash. For a guy who just broke his foot at SS, I can't really criticize people who don't like the jumps up there. SS has drawn blood off of me :)

Not intentional, nor directed. We just frequent the same discussions :)
