    I asked to be bumped last year after my first race.......didn't get to keep any points. I demand a recount!!!

    First race ever and I had a blast! Knowing that the STR crew was going to be there helped a lot to calm down the knots in my stomach! Thanks for all the support guys!

    Totally ripped off her front bumper.
    What did that tow cost? AAA?
    Or did someone with a truck drag her out?

    At no time in my past have I ever wished for Chris Akrigg J-hop skills than at the moment I rounded the corner and saw it on the first lap. I could have passed five people easy! They would have then been so awed by my skills they would have given up then and there, and perhaps just lay down in the sand and cry. Alas, jumping up on a car was not on my list of maneuvers to practice for OTH. Also alas, neither was receiving the bacon handup.

    I liked the Sport course yesterday (more challenging than last week). The only gripe I have would be having to merge with a bunch of riders along the race - just had to pass a ton or more riders this week! I think it would have been better if all the classes had more or less the same route on the right side of the course. My 2 cents!

    Older lady was trying to get "somewhere" when she got stuck; volunteers were sent out to divert people so they would hit the car.
    Not sure how they got the car out afterwards!

    Once the car got stuck in the sand, the woman tried to backed up and tore off her front bumper adding additional misery to her day. Thanks to the volunteers that were giving everyone a heads up as we approached or there could have been some crashes as everyone hit the brakes to avoid the car.

    And for the record, I believe the woman standing behind the car was a volunteer, not the driver of the car.

    There's an STR crew? Based on the activity on this site over the past few months, that must have been nearly a half dozen people!

    Go STR Humpers go! You STR racer types ought to get matchy-match STR jerseys. Promote the site and re-build the brand. I know - most of you have your shops you need to promote first. Maybe STR socks. Me? I'll just sit here and type while you guys/gals/kids duke it out in the dust. :bang:

    From all of the photos, this looks like a terrific gathering of like-minded people dead set on having some fun! :beer:

    So who took a bacon hand up? I passed on my first lap as I was just trying to hang onto my group. Brian from The Path shoved some bacon in my mouth as I slowed to take some on lap 2. I later found out it was like 4 pieces at once, lol. I really needed it as I ate too lightly at lunch and an in-race GU didn't do much for me. The sodium from it was a blessing as well.
