I tried going on the website to register, and found nothing. Am I missing something? I tried the contact info on the site and the email is bad. Do we just register tomorrow morning? I'm planning to ride Super D. Sorry if this is a dumb question and I missed the obvious.

Never done this series before and plan on racing XC and maybe SD tomorrow. Is there any information on the course at all? Miles, elevation, ect. Not too much info on the site. How many miles is the XC course usually? Sport class.

    Thanks for the help.

Here's a race from last year - http://app.strava.com/activities/4281133. Everyone usually rides the same course, sometimes beginner cuts out a section. I raced SS which I think is the same laps as Sport so it'd be 2 based on last year.

The first half mile is pretty mellow. Then you hit the pavement and start climbing, and then climb some more. The descents are pretty technical for a XC course. The finish is about a mile of mostly flat stuff.

Sometimes the course is a little shorter and if that's the case there's probably an extra lap for each category.

early as possible the first race is always nuts especially if you want a membership and need time to get ready and warmed up. Reg opens at 7 I think.

I may come out and try racing DH for the first time tomorrow, but I have afternoon obligations so I am curious what order they run the classes. I can probably make it if they start with the beginners, but if they end with beginners then I think I'm out.

    They end with beginners.
FYI- I usually race beginner Men 35-42, and the start time is usually between 12:30 and 12:50, depending on how many people show up.

Great! Thanks for the information. Sounds like I'll be okay. Beginner Men 35-42 would be me.

Great times out there today. I ended up 3rd in Sport which I'm happy with. it was super cold at the start, but not too bad once you were riding. I thought the wind made it worse though. There were a few delays and things took longer than expected, but it reminded me of moto races. Overall it was a lot of fun and I am sure I will be back for more.

Why, in this modern age, did I have to stand in line for registration/membership for over an hour? I wasn't the only one complaining. I barely made it to the Super D start point in time for the line-up order.

It was annoying that just when I arrived at the start point, they announced that practice was over. Yet, back when I got in line for registration, they announced that Super D practice was postponed due to the ongoing XC race. So, I basically stood in line to register during the entire Super D practice period. WTF.

I'll definitely be back for the rest of the series, but this inefficient registration crap was a real pain.

First time racing Southridge and was in the SS class, there was some really fast guys. Not pre-riding the course made that first lap a big surprise, this was a pretty technical course for a cross country race. I loved every painful second of the race and pulled off a surprise third. Yes the registration was slow but one small glitch for the day.

Seriously! Same situation for me too for the super d. 1.5hrs waiting in line. My race run was my first run of the day. Lines were ridiculously slow, they need some organization or more workers behind the table.

The dh trail looked way less technical according to the video.
