Hope your feeling better today Mark. I just don't get over things fast enough. I wheel you out of the hospital and I push your butt on the car. You walk around wallgreens with no shoes and literally no shirt. The shirt you do have on is only covering your back and full of dirt. As you walk to the pharmacy using the cart as your crutch peoples faces unforgettable. Then YOU drive home. You must be a mountain biker. David B. is the guy that called for you to be picked up and some little girl. They sounded concerned about you. PS: Mark I really did let Talkman drive me that one time.
sorry to hear about your crash I took Dirtvert on his maiden voyage of the loop and warned him about how 'innocent' it looks, but gets even the best of riders. Heal up soon...have some turkey with your oxy...you'll sleep!
Dude! I was just telling some people that the loop has sent more people to ER than any other trail I know.....including me!#-o Heal up fast Mark
I heard about your accident from some of the boys at the Loop... Hope you heal up quick and well, Mark! An old co-worker of mine was out there too and crashed hard, with a crack on a bone, a loose front tooth (that might need to be pulled), and a bunch of scrapes too. Healing vibes to you both... at least you can still join in at Roscoes.
So sorry to hear what had happened. I saw you standing there, but didn't find out till later what happened. Thanks Elvia for taking Mark to the ER. I broke my left clavicle back in 1999. It a while to heal completely. Hope you heal soon.
I knew there was nothing you could do when you came by so I didnt want you to stop. Congrats on the win.
Sorry to here Mark. Heal up soon. Good description of the crash. Drink some JD if you really want to kill the pain.
Yeah, you didn't look the best when peeling yourself out of the dirt. I wish I knew the area better so I could have given Elvia better directions but everything seemed to work out in the end. You seemed to handle it pretty well, but wtf was up with walking away from us when you got up? LOL Remember, I still have your jacket!
Well panicing wouldnt have helped and having broke my collar bone before i kinda knew what i could do. I wasnt trying to walk away more or less just move around get a feel for whats working whats not working.
I have never ridden this but man I hear it puts some folks down. Im gonna have to check it out some day.
Hmm I guess I hit my head harder then I thought. I still say I didnt have a head injury but my brand new helmet got worked. The stryofoam was cracked all the way through in 3 spots, two good size dents in the plastic and the plastic pulled away from the foam in an another spot. The bike appears to be fine cant find any issues with it at all. As for me the shoulder hurts more now then the day i did it and sleep has not been easy. My wrist seem to be fine very little to no pain now. My hip and legs pain come and go. Thanks for all the well wishes.
I'm not sure but I think a lot of us look at the loop as nothing special in terms of difficulty and that's why so many of us get bit. I take it easy out there because of this exact reason. Hope you heal well and the pain goes away quickly.
I agree that people are to non-sholant sometimes at the loop since its not difficult as far technical parts. Myself included.
Heal up, I think I'm gonna stop talking smack about the simplicity of the Loop before I end up eating a dirt sandwich next time I go. Take care
Bummer Mark. I heard from DavidB that you ate it at the Loop pretty good. Hope you have a quick recovery.
