So, this is what I missed out on? I got paged to come into work right after we got to Parks and Castlewood. Sorry to hear about it. Hope he recovers soon.
That very last little dirt section just before the golf center almost gets me all the time if I'm taking it fast - very slick loose stones over hardpack on the corner before the pavement. My buddy hit that culvert wrong and broke a collar bone right there as well.
Actually the Loop could be beginner friendly and is... just that people ride it fast and out of control; I think because people ride it so much and often that take some of the easy areas for granted. I can think of several spots where I alway see crashes but basically because the rider does something stupid...funny the couple of techical area I seldom see crashes...its usually on the downhills (which by and large are fine) or out in the street that's dangerous. Plus I think alot of new riders go there and end up riding over their heads. If experienced riders get injured... well goes without saying...
Come on Tom you know where they are, You rode through them last Thursday in the dark with no light on your SS.
It is haunted...that single trail area before you reach Laguna lake, above that horse trail is haunted. I was riding there and heard someone yell "BOO" and nobody was there at all. Nothing was around and I am 100% sure I heard what I heard. Then weeks later I heard there was a incident in that general location years before. Which would explain a lot.
Another victim today. Broken clavicle. I'll let him tell his tale. Hint black trance advance with lots of red parts (not franze) Sent from my DROID X2 using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2
Alot of loop bashing but a deep rut is a deep rut! I had a grade 3 separation on that same last little section before you get to the street!
