Rox have no clue where you are talking ... I mean I think I know where your talking... The "Super D" Decent Down to the Luge on the way to the luge coming from Modjeska Grade... I will look this week...there is a stubb rock dead center as you start the decent and then a right hander as you head into the chunk... you talking right around there?

Actually I think a couple little transition airs right at the top of the luge near "the gap" make for some fun if you take em with enough speed.

Funny ... whatever ....my friends give me a hard time when I start in.. "so did you hit that little bump right after the bank with the baby head in the middle"...they just glaze over...

Will say I caught almost too much air on the little step down.. 2/3 down the motorway... rode an accidental manual a bit too far...ohhh there I go again ;)

    ^^You guys are getting old...lol

I explained it's the beginning descent BEFORE the flag (not Old Camp). Yes Steve, there's a rock in the middle of the trail, then curves on the left, you hit the chunk, JUMP, then bank right before it repeats....

Or maybe I'm just getting old and drempt it????

Actually, that jump is part of the flow/line to hit the bank just right, at either pace- You cant hit the bank too high, BC it will shoot you straight out and the left turn to follow, becomes overwhelming (at fast pace). The banking is fun, all tho i only hit it right above the loose gravel, helps to straighten that line a bit.

I do see where you are coming from, to some people, yeah, you are not missing anything, to others is part of the race line/flow.

It is a small jump, but fairly fast, its in this segment, right before the last right hand turn (being the bank)... = )

The bank before the last straight away to the flag is my favorite feature on that descent, but I'm always extremely grateful when the runout is free of gravel. I've never gone over the side, but have certainly gone high and then got squirrelly at the bottom!

I thought that's where it was but I didn't see it. There's a small little booter off to the left that's been there for a long time, but I didn't see anything else just prior to the last right bank before the hill to the flag. As for Roxy's description of the top of that descent, there are no "right banks" on the top. Two nice left banks, but the rights just sort of drop off to oblivion if one is not on his line. I was happy that none of it appeared to have been sanitized.

And B-Vader - I agree, the micro-kickers at the top of The Luge near and after "the gap" are lots of fun. A couple of guys on this forum put those in last March.

New on this forum but not on the trails. I'm glad you guys appreciate my work on the luge. Im mostly just trying to smooth the brake bumps out a bit. I did add some additions(like the jump) but I'm not adding anything too major mostly just taking care of the maintenance stuff. I'm trying to retain its floweyness so the trail is still fun for all level riders. Also waiting on more rain in order to smooth certain sections i haven't hit yet. Pm me if theres anything in particular that you would like me to fix on the trail. I know this is kind of off topic, forgive me moderators, i just want to let everyone know whats going on.

Thanks for all your hard work; I noticed it right away and I don't ride STT/Luge all that often.

I would like to buy you a beer or lunch, which ever, I'm always grateful for trail angels.....

Hello FD. Welcome to STR. I saw you Sat morning at the end of the Luge by the asphalt trail and we spoke in regards to your trail work. I just want to thank you again for lugging a rake and shovel up there. Those efforts don't go unnoticed, and we all appreciate it. Thanks

Rode last night Wed 2/12) good conditions, 1st Climb past the luge was getting back to be pretty loose again. Luge itself was good but agree with CL dry already...in fact it was a dry night with dust in the air already. Oh and it was packed / busy night:)

BTW... I inspected each and every bump... and yes they are all there ... and yes they all are varying degrees of fun.

Killer Conditions this AM Whiting/Luge.. Luge is hanging in there with decent terrain, Mustard is looking great with the ride line. Huge Coyote spotted in back of equestrian ranch gate #9, this thing was as big as a German Shepard and plenty of grey fur. I stop for a pic, but Coyo started climbing faster then me up Vulture, no go = )
