Hey Blindman we (the shop guys at JensonUSA) are going to be having a post-trail work ride that day. We know the place SUPER well and are more than happy to have you ride with us. It'll also give you the opportunity to talk with IMBA and a few other people.

I'm a local, but have only ridden it a dozen times now or so and don't really consider myself a newbie despite having only ridden dirt for 8 months. If I come, I'd be more interested in checking out the various technical features to try 'em out. Having the JensonUSA guys guide makes me 99.9% want to go. Haven't really ridden with them yet, except for Andy briefly when he was riding home.

I love rocks and drops and anything fairly steep and fast sections. Going down the high steep side of BFR (Big F'ing Rock) still kind of scares me though, even though I managed to clear it once.

Ok... I'm starting to think I might cancel my Glamis trip. With diesel at $3.75 a gal. which will take me around 60 gals for the trip not counting gas for the toys, $25 for camping pass, loading and unloading all the stuff, 10 hrs drive round trip. And my friends only want to stay the weekend, that leaves me with only one day of riding out there, not really worth it. Might have to join you guys on this ride instead lol.

This is the reason I leave the quads in the garage so much.

Good job on the choice of trail, Tony. Weather forecast calls for rain next week from Wed 'til Sat. Sycamore is perfect for a post-rain ride.

just a quick update. still looking for guides. worst case scenario is we push it back an hour and roll with the jenson crew (i'm totally for this). i just don't like changing things because it confuses people. we should know by wednesday.

I hope we can get a guide or two. I've only been out there about 4 times and have no idea which part of the trail system i'm on until the next hill. Certainly not going to get lost out there, but, just so many options to ride for such an enclosed area. I would really like to see some better lines to get down some tech sections clean, too.

at this point i'm about 90% sure we are going to push it back an hour so we can ride with the jenson crew. I'll make the official update tomorrow. Either way we're riding. But @9 we have for sure guides and the group will increase in size. Should be fun either way

If you look into riding with the Jenson's folk, maybe meet up around their shop. Less congested parking area in an industrial type area compared to the shopping center parking. Either way, I'll need to cut my ride off before noon to get to work. 2-3hr ride is enough for my noob legs though, so, i just hope to get enough rest to make it.

Tony needs to be home around noon to play daddy, so I don't think the ride will last more than 3 hours. :) Good call on the parking location, but we need to be sure that everyone who is going is well informed about the changes.

Jensonusa guys would be a great choice. Rode Sycamore Sunday with EC, Denmother and Jenson guys , wouldn't have it any other way. They really know

    there way around.
