It's with a heavy heart and a tear in my eye that I need to tell you all that Switchback Cyclery is going to close it's doors at the end of the year.

We have so enjoyed being a part of the bike community and all the wonderful people involved it in, but the economy is getting the best of us and we need to move on to other adventures to support our family.

So with that said....OUR ENTIRE SHOP IS ON SALE UNTIL THERE IS NOTHING LEFT TO SELL !!!!

Thank You to everyone who has made the last 10 years of business so great! We have made some great friends along the way!

On the bright side...now we will be able to ride with all of you !!!

Just picked my bike up from there last night.......sad to hear :(

Whole shop on sale? that's the way to end...on a high note! I'll be sure to stop in! again

Thnx for all you've done for the local biking community:clap::clap::clap:...events, races, sponsorship and just being helpful! You'll be missed in the shop, but glad to see you'll be on the trails still. \\:D/

    What's next for you?:?:

Tim and Sherry I am very sorry to hear this sad news. You are both such great people and have taken care of many of my bike needs over the past few years. I am sure whatever venture you end up in next it will be a solid one. This economy truly is the depression of our time and hopefully we don't see it for much longer. Hope to see you both on the trails soon!

This is another case where I hate goodbyes.

Although I can't say that I've frequented the shop, I've sent many people there who have been happy with the service.

Although this may be the end of one aspect of Tim and Sherri's life, I hope it's the beginning of something good. Remember, with all bad comes some good - we just don't always know what it is.

Best wishes in your next endeavors!

Sherry and Tim, I am so sorry to read this news, but wish you the best and hope that this leads to a great next phase in your lives. Best of wishes to you both, with very sincere thanks for your contributions to the local cycling community.

    So everything's on sale, huh?
Can I buy a few of those CC & VQ feathers so I don't have to ride the darn things?! ;)

Sorry to hear this, such a shortage of good shops, and yours has always had a great rep... perhaps you might consider opening up in LA... there are no good shops up here.

    Sorry to hear the news...

A few years back (when I rode Santiago Oaks), we would sometimes stop in for tubes, chain lube (etc.).
One time, we even stopped by to pick-up a helmet (my friend forgot his at home).
What I am trying to say is: Switchback "saved us" on more than one occasion...
    Best wishes...

Switchback has been my second home for the last 8 years. I have gone from customer to friend to employee. It has been a pleasure to work for 2 people as passionate about the cycling community as Tim & Sherry.

I was always treated great when all I was was a customer. With or without Switchback I have lifelong friends.

I have met a lot of people, talked a lot of shop, helped get you back on your bikes, helped out when I saw you on the trails.

Thanks to everyone who ever walked through the door.

See you all out on the trails.
