    Wow--sweet rig!!

Is it just me, or are there a lot of 29ers popping up around here lately?

A while ago it was SS's, now 29ers.

It's koolaid. And soon you'll be drinking it.

I wish I could, but the rest of my tools (crank tools and cassette tool) are at my dad's house, so I am forced to stop for the night. It should be finished tomorrow afternoon.:bang:

Just keeping it simple. I got a Zion 737 29er HT frame for $60 back in September at the Jenson parking lot sale. I figured if I ever wanted to try a 29er, that would be a decent start for the price.

So I finally got around to getting a fork (Reba SL dual air) and a cheap set of wheels from my work. I am thieving the other parts from my 26er HT that has a really nice build, but I never ride it, so the parts won't be missed.

If I decide I like riding a 29er, I'll upgrade the frame and wheels eventually. I'm thinking Sultan or maybe a RIP or JET Niner frame.

I am certainly envious of that Sultan you are building. That thing is SICK!!

Cool bike, we are actually considering a 29er fs based on a mcstrut design - versus a walking beam seat stay pivot design.

Hopefully the owner won't mind if I take the Sultan for a quick spin, I'm sure curious to know how it feels in the dirt 8-[

Well I got all the parts needed for the rest of the build Monday night but I have been sick and didn't touch it till today. All done, weighs 28.3 lbs and it is a sweet lookin ride! Here are a few pics I snapped tonight in the garage, I'll get some better ones tomorrow.

Nice looking build Rob, I like that you got the cables cut short. To me a bike does not look finished with long brake and shifters lines.

Thanks Steppie, yeah excess brake/shifter cable bothers me. Got lucky with the brakes, the lines were perfect length for once!
