I sold my bike and now need a new rig. unfortunatly with the uncertainty in the economy im stuck in the under $1000 bracket. I found a GT I-Drive 7 3.0 (Ruckus) on ebay shipped for just under $1000. I cant find much info on this bike though. It looks ugly as hell but has decent specs considering the price tag. I have had good luck with GT bikes in the past. Anyone ever ridden one of these or know anything about them? the other bikes im looking at are: - an older santa cruz bullit 2004, awsome bike but the one i found is a little small for me i think, and has a small dent - the iron horse yakuza aniki which i hear is super heavy and has bad components and ever worse shocks - iron horse sachem 3.0, which also has cheapo components - What I would really like is a Norco Six but having trouble getting our canadian friends to ship a used one to me. so, this is kinda out of the equation i guess. Also I need some help in the sizing since I cant test ride these. im thinking of doing small. I am 5'8" have a 30" inseam and like a little smaller bike. i need to decide soon though. I am itching to ride! thanks!

Thanks for the tip...im looking at some bikes on there now! I thought that MKIII was more of a XC and light AM bike though?? Is that going to handle some jumping and drops?
Depends on what you plan on doing. I have a custom build MKIII on the trail frame and its a great AM bike. I do have it built up quite a bit more them then the stock one.
more AM then Xc, I would consider it a trail bike, it can do some light dh, just dont drop 12 feet to flat on it
I saw this on craigslist and thought of you... Check it out! http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/bik/971407867.html Not too shabby!
I have a AM/FR Intense 6.6 medium frame for sale for $1000... well sort of.. after riding it today (never used it for a little too long) I'm a little hesitant in selling it now... I'm 5'8" with 30" inseam and fits fine. http://www.socaltrailriders.org/forum/market-place/28865-fs-medium-6-6-a.html
Transition is blowing out last years coverts. Dude, if you want a Norco drop by Adrenaline, they've got something and build kits for all budgets. For a grand it will be hit or miss on craigs/E-bay but sometimes you find deals.
thanks for all the help guys! Especially that Intense gonna go check it out. I have a chance at the 2005 Santa Cruz bullit for $1010shipped because the winner backed out, or the 2006 I-Drive 7 3.0 for $900 shipped? You think either of those are a go? the $900 for a brand new bike seams kinda appetizing to me. That way I know it hasnt been beat
I love my coiler. I got it for $900 from Jensen. It has coil suspension and I switched it out to all air for more of a super d bike. With the coil it was a great bike though, I just prefer air. Beefy and I can throw it at anything and it doesn't flinch. Mine weighs in at about 35 lbs. with the upgrades I did. A great bike if you want to be able to do so downhill and still pedal up hills too.
hahaha, I can't believe that bike is still around. That was my old bike and I got it from a guy who was doing this on it,
I have an 05 Dirtbag I am selling, everything but the fork for 750, complete drivetrain, single track wheels juicy seven brakes, x7 drive train, convertable front wheel for either 20mm or QR. PM me if interested EDIT..... Everything but fork stem and bars, Repeat...no fork
How about a KHS AM1000, I think the frames are around $450.00 not bad for a full 5" travel bike. Good Luck
Well i finally found the bike i am going to buy...well thats if you guys think this will be ok. there is a dent right on the headtube/downtube gusset.i never had that happen on a bike before. is this gonna make it weaker and prone to snap? http://p1.pinkbike.com/photo/2870/pbpic2870661.jpg thanks again guys!
