There is a requirement that your front suspension must be less then 6"

Here is the full requirements, but other have said that they are lenient on some of these.

    1. Bikes must be less than 35 pounds.
    2. Designated tire size must be less than 2.5.
    3. Front shock must have less than 6 inches of travel.
    4. Bikes must have three chain rings unless they are single speed.

I understand restrictions but just don't know what they mean by a Dog Collar....

I have a bike that weighs less then 35#'s....has 3 rings...70-150mm (3-6 inches) adjustable front travel
BUT is a dual crown fork....it isn't a DH/FR rig and actually is listed as a XC bike but I don't expect the lift operators to know that....b/c ALL they will see is d/c fork

I think they were assuming the DC fork had more then 6 inches travel. They use the dog collar to limit the travel the fork to 6 or less.

Do they really enforce the 3 chain ring rule? Is a 2 x 9 really not allowed?

Dig it - I'll be there!

Gotta scope out the camping possibilities in the next few weeks too - might as well stay up there. Anybody else interested in staying overnight?
Gives us a place to move the festivities once the mountain closes down in the evening too...

My bike weighs exactly 35 pounds, has exactly 6" travel front and rear, has 2.5" tires and two chain rings with a bashguard. I've never had an issue there.

Maybe because I don't sport armor and a full face helmet, I don't know. Maybe I just haven't been there when they have to put on the dog and pony show.

Maybe they can spot a spode a mile away #-o
