inadvertantly found this site below. suggest str is mosty ladies (i hope they are not taking about my ride skills ) so how may girlies actually get to talk smack in the ladies forum. 149,528 RANK This site reaches approximately 8,769 U.S. monthly people. The site is popular among a slightly female slanted, somewhat wealthy, 35-49 following. Linky -> http://www.quantcast.com/socaltrailriders.org#demographics
c- chill my man. can across it and thought was "interesting" but yes noticed the same "caveat" and highly doubted the female/male ratio was close to what they suggest (although nothing wrong with that if it was) however check this one out. appears STR is huge in slovenia. http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/socaltrailriders.org i just hope its slovak women :bang: Socaltrailriders.org traffic rank in other countries: 226,568India 11,456Slovenia 351,458Spain 282,366United Kingdom 46,844United States
and you want to see something way cool (IMO) going back, back, back. a must see...check out this link -> http://web.archive.org/web/20041119151845/http://www.socaltrailriders.org/
 That's pretty trippy. And yeah . . . even when your site is "quantified" it's not very accurate. Just comparing to google analytics which I'm running, the "approximately 8,769 U.S. monthly people" is off by 52,681 last month. Don't know about the female/male ratio though.
I should say that technically that number is unique non-robot IP's to the site. So if one person logs on from three different computers it counts as three. Real number's probably a good bit smaller...
Haha, yeah. Here's the google analytics breakdown for the last 30 days. They filter out all bots/spiders. It looks like these maps have small pox.
Very Amusing. I figured women have more words per day than men and probably post more, but if you have been on any rides it is definitely male dominated... except when the dirty girlz have a chick ride. When we do we get comments like, I have never seen so many (usually about 6) girls riding mtn bikes together.
i'm thinking there needs to be a STR hall of fame A complete history of str from Georges idea conception (over a few beers i am guessing). the first site look (see above), list of the OG's. various significant events in the life of STR, noob rides, b-day funfest, etc. (me joining the site would be a highly noteworthy event...or would that be wall of shame). maybe even wax figures in the corner of roscoe's (i can see it now, george, dino, steppie, OMR...or maybe just their headshots carved in the side of limestone canyon. very rushneckesque i suppose. hmm, that begs the question would gregs stone carved hair be as well quaffed (sp?) as in real life...is that possible???? anyway, str ebbs flows but remains as strong as ever. thanks to george and the entire board. you folks kick arse (especially mine on the climbs )
