Scott and I are still in and I have dug out my goose down bag. Hurkey is not that far away so I feel that I would not be wasting that much of time/$ if Saturday was bad. I have learned a long time ago that the rides I almost bailed on turned out to be the best. Those rides years later have stuck in my mind more than those easy sunshine rides. I understand that many So-Cal natives are fair weather riders, but at my age I need to squeeze the most out of every day and having a little weather stop my plans is wasteful. If Saturdays weather is bad I am sure we will find something around in Palm Canyon can fill the afternoon until the mountain clears then enjoy the crisp mountain smells and hero dirt that next day. Hope some of yawl re-think but maybe you feel that you can always ride later. I have so many MTBing road trips lined up that if I don't go I will not get to Hurkey this spring.

Dean, if the weather isn't very good at Hurkey on Saturday, there is a group of us doing the Palm Canyon Epic shuttle. Just another option. =)

A appreciate the offer but I do not think I will be getting up early enough Saturday AM to get to Palm Springs in time to shuttle.

Dean - I'd be good to go Saturday, Hurkey is fun in the slush/snow, (most of the other guys didn't get the same kick out of it that I did :)). What isn't slick and muddy is absolute hero dirt!

    But stuck in Russia :(

I'm out. Sorry kids. maybe next year...or in June. Somebody else should put it together though.
Lately I've been having lousy weather juju when I organize rides.
