1.. G-Out was an awesome trail!
Jeff has been telling me about it for months!
What I liked most about it was how uneven the terrain was (i.e. up/down/off camber/rock/quick up/quick right etc.). I agree with you- Nothing scary.. One helluva' workout though

    2. Hummingbird deserves its own thread (more people will see the pics)

G Out was really fun. A very different trail experience to anything else that I've ridden in So Cal.

^^ Cool. I'll do that. I did not take very many pics -- I was freakin' exhausted when we hit Rocky Peak and since I broke myself up so bad last summer, me and rocks have issues it would seem (they skeer me).

I did love me the G-Out, though. Awesome stuff. So much so that I just changed my iPhone wallpaper for the first time in three years to this:

Wanna know one of the reasons G-Out was designed the way it was? :)

Let's just say a motorcyclist would have to be crazy to... ;)

Thanks to whoever took this shot, I got to the parking lot late and played catch-up most of the morning. I joined the "A" group at the top of Kona but had to bail before they did G-out. Had a great time, sorry I got there late and left too early to enjoy the post ride festivities. Hopefully at the next STR ride I'll be able to stick around a little later:)

The guy with the Titus jersey at the Man Cave is Tony. The guy with the light blue sweatshirt is James. If you have a guy with a camera on his helmet and wearing knickers, that is Kirk.

PS: Man, I look like a total geek in the Man Cave shot. I came around this corner, looked down and there was a camera gnome hunkered down...yikes!

At least Cindy looks good enough to cancel out my geekiness...I hope.

So what is it with STR folks? I was the only singlespeed out of 40+ guys? Lonely. Lonely, I was.

New trails and all, the unknown likely got ya...next time boys, bring the uno-speeds out to play. Tapia is fine for that and G-Out is a hoot on an SS.

I was not hunkered down. *_*

    - shud, camera gnome (not hunkered down)

P.S. Made the name changes to all pic posts. Thanks for setting me straight -- no way could I get everybody's name that day...

Well, you weren't up in a tree, were ya? Is hunkered bad? How about 'posed athletically demonstrating a keen eye and a sharp sense of balance".

    Better?

At least I got the gnome part right.

Another fine batch of pics Shud. I have a Tokina 12-24 myself. I like the lens, but you make yours really hit the high notes. I love the chaos in those panning shots :bang:

    Really excellent video.

I liked it all, and it looks like people were enjoying the trails, but Willie was shredding the creek bed like a local!

    Thanks for posting that.

Duuuuuuude! That is so freakin' suh-weet! So retro using Cheap Triick and REO SPudwagon as the music bed. Tons of fun out there, and the vid, unlike the photos, show exactly the kinda windstorm we were faced with up there.

Willie is gonna LOVE the Descending Tapia section. That's so cool. Thanks so much.

I like how, no matter who he was behind, KT the Man closes the gap and haunts the rider in front.

    KT can ride a bike.

That's an excellent video, you did a great job of showing all the trails.
