    Thanks George

That BBQ was fun & thanks to the rest of the riders that helped with the setting up of the BBQ.

I'm glad to here that you guys enjoyed my homemade salsa and taco.

Thanks (Dan) Project D & Project DD for letting us borrow your grill. Tell your wife I hope to ride with her soon.

Hey CC thanks for the jersey but obviously I wasn't going to fit me. So I passed it on to my 13 yr. old niece and she loved it, thanks for the cake that was gooood.

Good to see everyone, even if I didn't stay too long to chat(the hills were calling).
All the hard work really showed.

Thanks again to all (George for the site, and Craig for putting together the event!)! Had a good time.

I didn't get any shots from the BBQ (looks like that has been covered well), but got a few from our morning ride. Didn't get everyone's name, but I think it was Craig, ElBorracho, Justin, Project D, HoosierDaddy, ?? Met up with Nam, and Rodel and his buddy at the top of Cholla and rode with everyone down Rockit.

At the top by the water tower

Sorry I missed the BBQ.. :( I wanted to try and keep all you young grasshoppers in line but from the looks of it you guys had lots of fun anyway. After the wedding I had guests in from South Africa & we spent the day in Laguna Beach...

I'm sure this will become a annual event and probably even larger next time.

To reiterate what others have said...

Thank you to George, Cat and Craig for setting this up and putting in the prep work and the setup. I was really impressed with the level of planning for this.

Thanks to George (again), Craig (again) and Von-Skipp (I think) for guiding me into the park after my GPS put me into the wrong place. (I think I entered the coordinates wrong.)

Thank you to Neil and Jose for waiting for me to come down Rock-it. Also thanks to the guy who was riding behind me for not running over my head and for getting my bike off of me when I endoed

A huge thank you to Tighe for giving me a lift to Aliso Wilderness Park and then to where my car was parked (we took the scenic route)

Thank you to Aldo for providing the protein and for cooking it to perfection.

Thank you to Marcy for the great salsa.

    And finally,

Thanks to ALL of the STR members: If it wasn't for your posts, avatars and the like I wouldn't have won "The Golden Kickstand" Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go polish it. :D

Great pics Allison! I've seen your posts and RRs that it was great to finally place a face with the name; same for all the others I met. MarshalWillanholly; I've definitely got to ride with you soon, seeing as how you live so close to me!

Are you sure you're talking about me?

Everything we rode was legal. 5 Oaks, Cholla, Rock-it, Lynx

If there was poaching involved by others during this BBQ that's not cool.

I rode out to the TOW and down Meadows. Just as I've been doing for many years, after leaving TOW, I ride down the street, and make a right down some little trail, then up a steep, technical hill. After that, the trail connects to a road that leads to the top of Meadows. Well, at the beginning of that short trail, there is a sign that says "Private Property." I just saw that sign for the first time yesterday (I may have seen it before, but I forgot). What's the story on this? Is it a legal route?

Hey Lee, I believe that the sign is meant for the paved sidewalk that goes between the 2 homes there. There is another sign that directs the rest of us to that trail you took. If you were coming from the other direction(up Meadows going towards TOW), you would have seen it. The sidewalk is usually closed so you wouldn't have been able to get through to the street anyhow.
