Anybody think a STR app for iPhone would be cool?

Anybody know how to make such an app and then make $0.99 of each download?

I'd bet if you wrote an app that would translate any VBulletin forum to a decent little mobile UI, you'd sell the hell out of it.

    Wow, nice!

...but those guys need to hire a marketing goon. Who is going to search for "Tapatalk"? If they simply called it "Forums", that'd probably be worth more than all the advertising in the world.

Safari's easy, but VBulletins on a mobile browser... You can do it, but it's not quick, & the vBulletin layout wastes a lot of space, which is fine on a big monitor, but effectively shrinks the content down pretty tiny on a three inch display.

I look at STR all the time on my phone and NO issues and seems plenty fast as long as the thread doesnt have 100 pics. The 3 " screen is fine too. :?:

If i can find people who would pay 0.99 i would consider buying the software required. If you want this done, let me just see theres some people interested and i will get it in the works. Also, if i can get my gfx design friend when he isnt busy he may play with it. Again, id like permission before starting aswell.

Even if you sold the app to every member, the revenue would never come close to compensating you for the time involved.

Not to mention the inevitable criticism of those will never satisfied no matter what you did.

But if one has the spare time and wants to do it out of the goodness of their heart...

nothing, the owner of this website needs to upload the appropriate folder into the forum directory and set it up on the tapatalk website for it to work
