Enforcement is still ongoing. I hope you beach city riders see this. 45 traffic citations were issued in one day to cyclists. This is from a friend of mine who works for the City of Newport Beach but I have no way to verify.

Is there any law that governs how bikers arrange themselves in bike lanes? I didn't see it in the list so I was just wondering if you guys knew; I was always under the impression that bikers were generally supposed to ride in single file and was always annoyed when I'd see people riding double-wide sticking out into traffic with their tire barely inside the bike lane. Now I'm wondering if that's legal because I don't see anything adressing it in the DMV vehicle code.

Hope this isn't considered a hijack!

No highjack and a valid question. It is NOT illegal to ride two across. I'll give you an example of motorcycles doing it all the time. Yes, it is legal. There is also nothing stating we have to ride in the bike lane only that we ride as far to the right as PRACTICABLE not possible.
