SR: Path Parking Lot Sale

Here's a brief sale report.

Free grub (burgers, drinks, hot dogs), lots of good deals, and friendly faces made for a fun and expensive day today.

Some of the major buys today:

• Bret ended up getting a dawg a step above the one he was aiming for AND upgraded the fork and wheels
• Craig came for gloves but ended up buying a fork also. #-o
• Tighe took home a stumpy
• I took home rodel's (thanks!) 5 spot frame

good pics G, definitely a good time today at the sale I really should have walked out of there with that fork but funds are a bit limited right now... It would be interesting to see how much $ STR people spent today at the Path.

 

I am bummed I didn't go.....but then again I don't have a job right now so I think it was best for my wallet :lol:

 

Sounds like I am glad I snuck in there last night for the BB and took home the new fork before anyone else did...

Good stuff, I like to see our local shops do well. We are lucky to have so many well stocked local bike stores.

Craig what fork did you pickup?

Hope the 5Spot brings you as much fun as it has given me these past years. Maybe get one of the photoshop guys to make some Turner downtube stickers or STR stickers for your pending powdercoating job.... maybe something like

Path sales are cool, good place to hang-out after a ride. Good to meet Jordan, and see the STR crew. Wanted a jersy & shorts, but unfortunately for the local shops, hard to bet the online retail sales this time of year.

That WUSS is saweet!! Lot's of nice new singlespeeds around here lately.

I actually thought about driving up there, but Jenson's sale is not too far away and my SS frame upgrade got way outta hand with the addition of the Reba fork, King headset and Mavic 819's. Not to mention the Race Face Diabolous cranks and '07 Marz All Mt SL1 I just got for my Reign. In my defense, I only paid $93 for the RF cranks at a Performance parking lot sale a couple weeks ago.

 

doug, the way you shop Tani would be able to retire if you ever attend one of their parking lot sales.

Does that mean that if I still have the handlebar from my YETI that I can upgrade it with a Nomad frame, FOX Shock,Thompson this mavic that?????:-k
