Trust me, I'm quite capable of recognizing and dishing out my fair share of sarcasm. However, I totally failed to see any in your post. Sorry, just calling it as I see it. The fact that this hooker is even being glorified now is pretty irritating. Sadly it shows the shallowness of people.
The biggest difference here, he's one of the few politicians who got caught. This happens so commonly in DC and politicians it's frightening. Women are drawn to men with power and men, love the attention and milk every ounce of it. It's the same ol' song and dance. Wouldn't shock me either. If he didn't care enough about his wife, family, children or political position to go out and do this, why should I care. I have the right to point and laugh at him - serves him right. He had to know that if he got caught, something like this was going to happen. Moralistically, I think he's a P.O.S., but he does have the right to do as he pleases. As for Shannon's view - His wife made the choice to show up and "support" her husband at the news conference. No one would have though anything less of her for not being there. Leads me to believe that this sort of thing has either 1) happened in the past or 2)she knew something was going on. Diffrent strokes for different folks I guess.
