The XC race will be on Saturday. I won't be there to race, but I was wondering who else might be going?

XC race: Saturday, April 9th, 2005   9:30 am

I'll be there to ride a lap of the course at 8 am, all are welcome to join me.

I've read from postings from everyone that the XC race is about 8 miles. Is that one lap of the course or 2?

I'm 14 so that would be probably the Beginner 13-14 class... unless there is a 14 - 15.

  8. Hey Yall,
I'll be there April 9th, not to race but to give my son suport while he races. He's 9yrs old, new blood to the MTNBIKER lifestyle. If you see him there, give him your support! His name is Hector or (MONKEY).

There might be one guy in that class that races. He rides a Carbon NRS and is usually the only one racing. Pretty cool guy though, he was in all of the winter series. I think he might be doing the spring fling also.

I'll be out there with my daughter Lacey. She'll be entered in the Beg Women 13-18 class. She's 12, but since she'll be 13 before Dec. she has to race the next age group up. It's REALLY GREAT to see so many young kids getting into riding. If I remember right, the course is just over 8 miles, with about 2500 feet of climbing. I would be racing in the 200 lb club class, but I broke a bone in my elbow on Sunday.
Good luck to those of you racing. Just remember, it's about riding, and having fun on your bike! Where you place is just icing on the cake.

We'll be there early, around 7 - 7:30, to sign in. If The Path has their tent set up, we'll be around there.
    See ya.
