Much better. Plus she is showing her commitment to grassroots racing. She ain't decked out in an overly-sponsorated [new word] riding kit. She is also showing the importance of proper nutrition. Bananas are an excellent source of potassium which can stave off cramping while racing.

How long till this gets shut down? It is thread appropriate. Every post relates to Super D(s).

You know what they say...the bigger the hoops the bigger the ho! Wish I were 100% healed, I was planning on trying my hand at Super D this year. Soon...soon!

Nice to see that I pulled Sport Men DFL...proves the point that neither spandex nor an XC rig belongs on a super-d course unless its a rebuild of the mid-90's DH course.

Bring back the days of the Kamikaze and the marvel of 3" front and rear travel.

(No worthy pic from 1995 made it through Y2K)

This was my first ever gravity race. I had a lot of fun. My first practice lap I pedaled most of the way up to the start. In hindsight this was probably a mistake as my legs never really felt good after that. The first short lap went well, I was really surprised and caught off guard buy how loose it was after my practice lap but I managed to stay upright and have a clean run. Second run I came into the very first turn way too hot and missed it. Got off the bike, got back on trail and managed to have another clean run after that. I got 7th in the sport group, 1 second off from 5th and the same time as 6th.

I was not really sure I wanted to do this but am very glad that I did. It was a great introduction to this type of racing.

Thanks for the vid clips. I didn't know Gwin was going to be there. He and Niko looked just sick through that little rock garden. Who won?

Gwin won by about half a second. I saw his run on the hike up to the top, his speed is unreal.
