Well, Epic for my kids, and honestly me to, to be able to ride with them

We went to Big Laguna down south and got a house, that literally was at the end of a very quiet road, no lights, no people, just dark - but fun. Man this house was on about 10 acres and had its own pond to fish in!

We spent two days riding Big Laguna, averaged around 15 miles a day and did lots of the adventurous trails off the side of the meadow - lots of fun berms and jumps. And I know there have been a few R&R recently of these trails, but you really have to go there to see them, they are so much fun. Nothing like fishing, riding, and BBQ in the mountains pretty much all by yourself

Although the loop around the meadow is really easy there are some fun and more challenging trails going off the meadow up the hills, and its all single track. We also did part of Noble canyon, had to climb back out but got a good taste of it.

Finally we ended the trip with a day of riding at Lake Cuyamaca state park

At night this house was sooooo cool, amazing views!

This was at the bottom of Los Gatos I think it was called, just after a bunch of berms and jumps we enter the meadow, are you kidding me!

    wow

    flow everywhere

after riding, time to fish! - they caught a ton fish, small fish but fun

One night we hiked up to an observatory, it was super dark and sort of sketchy, just dark and quiet, but great star gazing - this one below was a 30 second exposure the kids had to stay still

thats the observatory, used by San Diego state university I think

    hey I like B&W

last day we went to Lake Cuyamaca , unreal trails but we didnt have to much time to ride. This was the only fire road we rode, but I like the photo with the clouds, but trust me that place needs a return trip, huge state park and lots of shuttle opportunities

then before we went home we drove to Julian to get an apple pie, 3 of us at the whole pie - yum then... yuck after too much pie

Great trip and I highly recommend this location especially for kids or noobs

Great pics and R&R. You cannot go to Julian and NOT have pie..., that pie is the best. Thanks for sharing.

Great idea to rent a house and take the kids to hang out. Very kid friendly trails around the meadow.

    Thanks for sharing.

Sounds like a cool rental. Is it available to the general public? If so, how do we find it?
