Look for a new shoe for your flat pedals next fall when Teva comes out with its first offering for cyclists.
Teva’s mountain bike freeride shoe is the Links. No price for the shoe was listed in a company press release.
“This fall season we’ve used our experience and technology to develop the widest range of footwear in the brand’s history,” says Teva president Pete Worley.
The brand collaborated with Teva athlete and professional mountain biker Jeff Lenosky to design the Links, a freeride mountain bike shoe with technical features. The sole, made from Teva’s proprietary Spider365 sticky rubber, was designed specifically to interface with the unique platform of a freeride bike pedal. The shoe also has flexible armor in key wear areas and uses “ion-mask” technology for complete water protection.
“Teva has supported the freeride mountain bike scene for years at the Teva Mountain Games and I’ve always been impressed with their shoes,” Lenosky said. “It was an amazing opportunity to design a product from the ground up and Teva didn’t compromise on any aspect of these shoes.”

Just make sure you don't wear socks. Girls hate tevas with socks.

The posted colors, particularly the white on the sole don't work for me either but competition is always a good thing. I like the idea of "complete water protection" if it really works.

Edit: Oh yikes - just saw this color scheme.

Teva's suck. There is no way they can outperform 5 ten's stealth rubber.
Stealth rubber is the perfect pedal stick. Five Ten's longstanding reputation in rock climbing is indisputable. They have taken that knowledge and made truly amazing MTB shoes.

Why even consider Teva? They make sh*t sandals...
    Teva = JUNK

    ^^^haha, typical sarcastic response.

anyhow, they don't look much different from other shoes from etnies, DC, Osiris, among others in their 'technical shoe' lines. Not saying that I like them, just saying that the designer used typical cues to make these, most people should be OK with them and they will grow on you. More competition is better but I think Vans will be my next flat shoe.

So you've already tried these huh?

I own 5 10's and love them but am open minded enough to the idea that another company could possibly make something even better. My Schwinn Stingray was the shit in 1970 but guess what, technology advanced even further than that state of the art bike.

Put me in the Teva's suck, I will never own another pair of anything they make category.

Even I was open to them, the cosmetics are hideous. They must have located the designers from British Knights.

    Pass.

Even better than perfect? That's an impossible task, especially for Teva.

The word Teva makes me cringe and think of unkept middle aged men in ugly ass nylon strapped Mandals...
Id try them if they didn't say Teva lol and the 5ten outlet wasn't 2 blocks from my office.

Do you know how much that bike would be worth today in good condition? Hubby had one, and went looking - DANG, wish he would have kept it - would have paid for the DH bike I'm looking to build.

Competition regardless of how 'you' feel, is always a good thing.

I don't know why you guys think those Tevas are so ugly. They are no uglier than the the girls versions of the Five Ten shoes. We ladies always get screwed over in our stuff. Pink. Purple. Lavender. Baby blue. #-o

I love my Teva sandals but also really dig on my newly purchased Five Tens for my flat pedals. They stick like nothing I've ever seen.
