Despite my Spesh Fork problems I love my Enduro SL, msot fun bike I've owned. Climbs amazingly well especially on technical stuff. Pretty good on the descents as well altho I'm not the best pilot for that kind of stuff

As long as you arent naked its fine.

How long of a steerer tube is needed for the forks?

The length of the headtube w/ headset is 5". A Thomson stem would add roughly another 1-3/4 inches, so you would be safe with a 7" steerer tube.

Hey Keith, did you hear that Specialized has extended the warranty on the fork and shock for the Enduro SL for another 4 years? I read this on mtbr and Tani confirmed it. This is for people who purchased a 2007 model, by the way.

I knew someone else had the Enduro SL, but I couldn't remember who. Good news though for early adopters. Despite the problems with the fork/shock I do love my bike as well! :)

it shouldnt be that hard guys...why post in a for sale thread if you arent interested in buying, or if it isnt your size or isn't in your budget?

eric is a really cool guy, why destroy his thread with assinine/smart ass comments?

anyhow, im over trying to keep these threads clean...if people want to be lame, so be it.

I agree - isnt this place the internet? Why so serious?
People posting on the thread keeps it near the top of the list with a greater chance of finding a buyer. Why its near the top of the list is largely irrelevant as the 1st thing they see is the FS and pics.

ehhh, I agree with you but I also see how the powers that be have to kind of keep us cheeky members on a leash, I don't care if someone posted on mine cuz its a free bumpish, but Im sure someone must have complained. of course if you regulate the banter, the fellowship is broken.

While I am all for free speech, we really DO need to cut Guero a little slack here!
    Don't shoot the messenger.

The decision to keep these threads "clean" was reached by committee.
In my opinion, we should respect their wishes.

I mean NO disrespect to anyone.
I have been GUILTY adding needless commentary in the past
I will probably add needless commentary in the future. Just sayin'....

With that said a BUMP or two never hurt anyone! 8-[

    Another unrelated bump...

I believe the real problem is when the discussion starts to go against the seller or his/her products, making it more difficult to sell their items. Regrettably, I've contributed to those. The ones were people chime in "Oh, if only that were..." aren't that bad, IMHO, but the ones that say something like "Dude, you can buy it retail at XX for less than that" are the bad ones. But Bret shouldn't be left to decide what's good or what's bad.

But even though I understand and agree with the policy, there have been a lot of great discussions in the marketplace forum that couldn't or wouldn't transfer well to another forum. For example, many of us are now curious what Carla is going to ride. Should we really start a new thread to ask that question? A PM is ok, but why not keep the question public? Nonetheless, she probably won't answer until she has the new ride to display. But she could at least tease us. I'm sure it will be nothing short of the hottest ride out there (just as this Enduro was when she first posted it).
