Im always positive, I am and have been at peace for a very long time. I also learned along time ago to not be afraid of what may happen, or what may be.

I wish you all the best and a healthy recovery, whatever it may be.

your age? Only asking because I have recently had the realization I am not 19 anymore. Health-wise that is.

You're a brave man, Mike. I don't think I'd be as calm as you.

About telling the family, I'm with you. No need to stress them out but don't go it alone. Let the docs know what you want. Best of luck. My liver is not in the best of shape and you wouldn't be able to use it any how. My failing liver will be what kills me someday.

Wow man this is really a sucky thing to be going through. Serious I haven't know you that long but you're a damn good guy and I would certainly get tested to see if you could have half my liver.

My daughter had a big scare this year, turned out to be benign. She wrote to me "The amazing thing about the internet is how easy it is to become a hypochondriac!"

    Good luck.

Well given your condition I appreciate all the help you've given lately and your patience. Your a tough guy Dustin, its emotionally as much as physically draining when your having internal problems because you truly can't see whats going on and the waiting is awful.Be strong, Hope for the best, and keep a positive outlook. Good Luck!

My wife and I agreed though that any such medical issues will discussed as they come.

My first response is talk it over with the spouse/family, but I know for myself I would wait until I knew more.

No reason to make them worry sooner if not needed - and you know they will worry.

You know them best, do what is the best for everyone directly involved.

What does not kill you only makes you stronger.

We all go, it's just the inconvenience of when that makes it tough:?:.

Rodney Dangerfield is my personal hero in the Danse Macabre. He was 70 or 80 something, still drinking and smoking, had a 19 year old girlfriend, and a hot tub choppered onto the balcony of his Hi-rise condo just to relax in and savor the view. Before going under the knife for what would prove to be the final act his last words were

"I'm either gonna get better or a lot worse"

While you can still enjoy life, treasure every second. (try not to waste it working on your day off;)).

good luck with the tests. hope it's something that can be easily taken care of.

I can see your point about not telling your family, but don't delay if you do need to tell them.

About the family, I will be telling them soon as I know for sure with the results. There is just no need to panic them with more info than needed at this time. I dont see a need to have them worrying, or panicing, or pregreiving...... if its something simple. BUT, I iwll fill them in when I get home next monday.
