Well not really.......... have a lovely wife and three kids but it is hard to find SS’ers out there. I am a Clyde that loves single speeding more than any other type of riding. Been riding M-Bikes since 1989.

One buddy rides his SS (along with his other bikes) but everyone else likes their FS geared bikes.

They think I am crazy being 6’2” and 225 riding a SS. But who cares I like it.

Any other SS’ing Clydes out there?

First of all, where are you at? I live in south Orange county (Laguna Niguel) and ride my 29er SS all the time at Aliso Woods. There are plenty of SSers on this board ... just need to know where you are riding grasshopper?

    I am 6'4" and 210 and I love riding my 29er SS.

In fact I had to remind myself recently that I do have other bikes and they need love too.

    Welcome to the site.

    San Clemente

I work 2 miles from Aliso and sometimes start rides at the park on Canyon Acres.

Tonight I am riding the San Clemente single tracks (fun for SS'ing).

Thanks! I like 26'ers (my 10 year old rides one):bang::lol:

ps. How is the 29'er tire selection @ The Path? I was in there two weeks ago and forgot to look. Any suggestions for a rear tire? It is really getting loose on the dry trails these days

The Path has a pretty good selection. I have never had to have tires ordered. They just always seem to be there. I just started riding on the Nevigal's on the front. I really like it. BTW Brian (aka Donkey from MTBR) works there. He is really knowledgable about tires for the 29'ers. Just let him your intension.

I couldn't agree more.. and it's only going to get worse! I just took the SB8 off the back and running Nevs front and back on my 29er... and although a bit heavier and slower... so what as they really seem to hook up in the soft stuff!

    OMR

PS: Love the San Clemente single track off of La Pata... all maintained by TWTF.

I'm running an Ignitor on the back and the Nevi up front. It seems to be working just fine for me. I don't really have any issues with the sand on the trails. The combo seems to fit my riding style. Yes, the tires are a bit heavy, but I'm OK with that. If I end up racing locally I'll throw on some Jones'.
Fulli loop?? Where is that again? Sorry but I had to start getting myself back into shape again. I have a NorCal race this weekend then its all about the fun again!!!! :bang:

    SC single tracks

There is a ton of riding back there. I have nice loop that is part SC single track and part other stuff (18 miles or so).

Crazy that over the past 6 months or so that place is getting like Whiting (tons of riders). Two years ago I never ever saw another rider.

ps. I think it is time to put the Nano away until the Fall and pick-up an Ignitor for the rear

ride'in much? Still blastin away on the Dos?

ps. Still buggin Intense to let me take the 5.5 prototype out for a week or so:bang:
