I hear you. It is tempting because I can't bring a new parts build lower than $500, and I have several parts to upgrade with already.

I converted this bike from 26" about a year ago. Unfortunately, the frame is still too small for me and so I don't ride it.

If you don't mind, how much was the frame? I have had a Russ Denny before in 02 and loved it.

    Sweet bike.

When did you order it? How long did it take to get it?

I ordered one in the beginning of July, I'm hoping it comes in shortly.

And does it ride as good as everyone says it does?

I believe it ended up about 1500.00, but it does depend on dropouts, frame material etc.. To my mind it was well worth it....rides beautifully

Looks like a Bikeco build. Let us know what you think? Did you have your fork tuned by them as well?

    Sweet bike!
I've been considering the HD-R in blue also. I'd ask your opinion, but my guess is Amazing probably covers it!

Yep, Custom BikeCo build. Was gonna get a generic one but for a little more I got the whole custom shabang!! Those guys know their stuff and my props to them!!

Ordered it late June and it took a couple of weeks to put her together.
Coming off of my Tallboy, this bike is freakin fast and agile. Obviously it bombs downhill but climbs amazing as well.
Keeping both bikes BTW and a very happy camper :)

That's awesome, I can't wait to get mine.

Did you go with the increased travel option? If so did you stick with the 140mm fork or go 150mm or 160mm?

Is that a reverb stealth post on it?

140 is all I need for my riding style and yes that is the stealth post. They specially routed the cable internally.
I think if I remember correctly, if you want to go 160 you would have to go with 26" wheels on this frame.
