That's good, cuz the offer was for you to ride in the truck, not the dog! We just barely got you potty trained!

Look on the bright side, no blowing sand/dirt. 8-[

Who do we talk to about getting the wind moved to Mondays in Fontana? I don't have any side panels for my EZ-up.

*** Am I correct to assume that DH practice starts at 12 noon??? If riders were to arrive earlier, could they ride the unmarked sections of the course?
*** $5/ wristband required to practice the DH course?

    See you there!

Because the DH course crosses the XC course, the DH course is closed until the XC races are complete. Nonetheless, you can still hike up and do parts of the DH course that are away from the XC course. The course is likely fully marked.

You need a wristband to ride the course. I'm not sure if they have a different one if you don't want to pay for the shuttle service. But at the very least, they want you to sign a waiver (and get a wristband to show that you did).

How did you all do (XC & SD)?

For those that raced today 4X, XC & Super D, how did you all do?

    How was the course?

The weather was great and the XC course was pretty sweet from beginning to end. I didn't do as well as I hoped but it wasn't because of the course. I didn't ride Super D (rode 4x instead) but a few of the guys here did and I heard it was a suffer fest. I'm not sure the mileage or average times on it. David and Maxwell could probably tell you more on the super D as they both rode it.

The course was faster than two weeks ago. Took another 2nd even though I ran 2min 30sec faster than last race. Got to meet some STR riders out there this time which was pretty cool. STR riders seem to tear it up out on the race course. Congrats to all those who competed and completed the race today.

Super D was a suffer fest to say the least, I really really need to get back out there to try to help set up the next super d course, today's definitely wasn't working for me!:?: I think I ended up 9th or 10th.

^I saw that, but thought it was a mistake. You were in the beginner class today?????

I've never heard more swearing on one ride than I did today on the Super D hike. I thought it was just me that was going to have to walk it until i looked up, 5 riders in front of me hiking, another 5 behind me. #-oi mean, what the hell? no bueno

anywho, finished 2nd in the XC in my class, pretty stoked because two guys i beat today whooped my ass two weeks ago.

Today's SuperD was indeed a suffer-fest! While waiting at the top of the DH course, I witnessed something I thought I would never see- riders (i.e. VERY accomplished riders) walking their bikes up the hill! Some even had to stop racing for a minute or two! Unbelievable!

Congratulations to all who competed!

EDIT: Just say DavidB's post--- couldn't agree more!

Man I just checked the weather (accuweather.com), for Fontana. Forecast for tomorrow:

    High: 58 °F RealFeel®: 48 °F
Windy with periods of rain, some heavy, and a thunderstorm; watch for flooding

Looks like it'll be wet tomorrow. Hopefully, the DH trail will hold up.

the dh course should be fun in the rain, especially the section that slaloms through the ravine, those corners will be slick and the ravine may turn into a creek
