Going tubeless, going to give it a shot, ive been hating on it without really trying it,
Been battling with these thing for over 2 hrs, glad Johnny (walker) and jack D, were around to help with patience, otherwise, fk that, man so much work, it better be worth it image.jpg
Not to mention that my dog loves jack as much as I do, when I spilled it , it took no time for him to clean up

I'm normally good to go in 2 mins ? Are you using an air compressor soap and water?

You are going to like it! It can be a pain from time to time, but so much forgiveness on the trails. in fact, I was refilling the stans in my tires the other night when my syringe feed line decided to pop off... Looked like a porno was filmed in my garage!!! I was covered in "stans" the garage was covered as was my damn brake rotor! My friend was laughing his @ss off at the time and I find it funny now but yeah, sometimes setup is for the birds!

No compressor, but was using co2, which I had many, no soap and water, I should have used that first , found that out after reading a bit

Totally worth it! I have also found that gorilla helps seat the beads.

Mine was super easy. No problems at all.
    Here is the secret...

Took to bike shop, gave them money and it was done in no time.

Or just use proper UST or TLR tires and wheels.

Since going tubless, I've only had ONE issue... I ran it too low and burped one. Being a mechanic, I can say the setup comes really easy to me HOWEVER, I can see how it could be a nightmare! When done right, it's amazing.

My tubeless tires seat and hold air with a floor pump and no sealant. In order to run tubeless, you need to have the right equipment.

I should probably add that Gene sliced his sidewall, but it still didn't look like fun to fix. :?:

LOL, that would suck to fix even with tubes.

But a lot easier and a lot less messy. Plus, if it was just a small slice in the sidewall with a tube he might of been able to just ride it out.

For me the hassles with tubeless out weighed the pros.

The use of CO2 and Stans is not recommended.

Yeah, that's not gonna work. CO2 will dry out the Stan's.

There's an number of YouTube video's out there that will help you. Once you do it right once, you'll be blown away at how easy it actually is, and how awesome it is on the trail.

Where do you live? I could probably help you out if you need it.

I am not the best wrench..but I do like tubeless (personal preference)...what got me over the hump / setup fear was to sit through a setup session with someone that knew how to do it. Sounds obvious but made all the difference. One of the guys at surf city let me sit and watch and ask questions. Believe me I can spill anything and if its sticky...mine as well bath in it..., but I am getting pretty good at it, set up my new Conti rear tire...no mess, no prob, took my time, can mostly setup with a floor pump. Also as other said right rim / tire combo make a big diff. Stans seems to work good with Spec, Conti, Schwalbe, MAxxis. WTB did not used to work, but have not tried with new TCS.

At first I thought the OP was having fun.. I was thinking no wonder the pup is having problems... Booze and no opposable thumbs...hard to get that tire over the rim with no thumbs...

Going tubeless is well worth the pains of installation. Go with a good tire that seats well on the rim...something that's too big will be a pain to install even with an air compressor as it will not seat properly. If this happens use a tube to seat it. The syringes are not necessary.
