Scorpions in orange county?

found this guy in Whiting a few weeks ago. already dead and covered in red ants.

 

No one has mentioned how friggin' fast they move! For some reason, when looking at pictures you get the idea they just set there, wielding that telson like some sort of movie special effect. But, they do skitter really fast. Seriously. They can move across your kitchen floor like nobody's bidness.

Am I the only one who feels like something is crawling up their arm now? No, the other arm...now my hair....regreting opening this post. :/

 

I got stung out in AZ by a little one that looks a lot like the one in the jar but was smaller and skinnier. I don't think it was all that venonmous because it only swelled slightly and burned for a couple hours. Still I've never got into a bed again without looking first. And I kill any that come into my house univited.

 

I'm not riding at night anymore either.

 

thanks for the tip!! I think its kinda kool that they are still here along with everything else. I do however wanna keep em outa the house.

you know i was kinda curious about that. When i found him his legs were all tangled up and he was laying there barley moving. hours later in the bottle he was scooting like he was on a treadmill!!

i plan on letting him loose in the bushes across the street
