Damn, the Euro to USD exchange rate is killer now. Used to be the Euro was close to the dollar, but it's about halfway between the GBP and USD. I thought the KS dropper posts were "cheap", minus VAT, on those German sites (inc Bike-components.de, starbike.com, actionsports.de, bike24.com), but then I did the conversion and considered SH costs...

I wouldn't worry yet. I've ordered some stuff from UK and most of the time get it quick. Once in a while it gets stuck in customs for a good while. I've had a single item order get stuck "in destination country" and didn't receive it until a month to the day after my order.

    Received yesterday 2/12/2013
1 Hans Dampf Pacestar,Snakeskin,TL Ready and 2 Nobby Nics Gatestar. Snakeskin. TL Ready.
Broke down the price per tire "out the door" and it's about $40 a tire.

Just put the big fat Hans on the front and a nobbie nic (both tubeless snakeskin) on the Bandit, never thought rubber would make such a BIG difference!

Thanks Neil, Tani and Dean for the suggestion!

maybe a stupid question, but will tire rubber degrade just sitting in storage in the garage for a long time? If it's flat $28 shipping then I might buy 5 or more.

I've kept mine sealed in plastic trash bags in storage and they stayed "fresh" for over many years after.
    Got idea from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ozone_cracking

As skflow indicated, ozone is the real killer of rubber materials. Just putting tires in your garage won't be enough - seal them from the atmosphere as much as possible. Trash bags are cheap, and should work well enough. Even so, I don't think I would buy and store more than a couple spare tires at a time.

Agreed here. Same with car tires. They're stamped with a production date for that reason. If you ever bought car tires and they got a brown layer of gunk its the oxidation from sitting in a warehouse...not good for the rubber.
