Fun ride today.... Left my pad in Costa Mesa before 7am, met up with the guys at Angels then headed through Santiago Canyon to the beach. Didn't notice the heat much, canyon was fun first time riding through it. Byron had a flat and a torn tire some where in Aliso but luckily close to home.
2 bean and cheese burritos at a taco bell water stop and Aaron winning a free one with the drop the coin game haha
Byron you and your friend are fast! Couldn't touch the guy on the older carbon bike forgot your name.
Fun catching the single speeder with Aaron on PCH through newport coast, seeing him give up after we passed gave me another boost of energy
Finished off with frozen yogurt mmmmmm

whats up with my knees taking forever to warm up tho... seriously, took an hour to start feeling ok.

Anyway, byron and ryan are just too fast LOL.
Dizle is a beast on the fixed ghear....

Some fun PULLZ on pch... the SS drag race gave us a good sprint but died out once we caught him.

WTF was up with the electric motor bike guy??? LOL

I saw gray's advertising on santiago canyon... LOL... got a picture to post later. Coors light = hooker spit.

Awesome ride. Whens the next one? a goood group.

Awesome ride. Wanted to finally do a little climbing on the roadie as I've only done river trails and PCH. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm still slow though, but I have more confidence that I can do the Vegas ride without dying.
Seriously good "food". Awesome "food". 8-[

Thanks for a great ride guys! I was having a hard time keeping up but you guys alway tried to give me a wheel to grab. Thank for the burrito Aaron. I'm glad some of you got to check out the salty Dawg and get some grub. This was my longest road ride to date.

Oh! this is the roadie hangout, now I kinda feel dirty. Not a good kinda dirt, like after a day riding dirt but kind of a smoggy hydro-carbon kind of slime.

HAHA- I can't believe you guys only saw one of those posters! Assuming a single poster would probably get removed by ______, I decides to print a couple copies at work. (Laughing as I write this...) I actually posted four, about a mile apart on poles throughout the east side of the canyon on my way home last night.

Glad you guys had a fun ride today, I totally F'ing overheated coming up Mathis today around 1:30. Stupid.

a few things are hard to understand from just reading member blogs/comments, you cant pick-up the inter-drive of the person.. However if you get a chance to spend time with the guys I road with today, you'll notice a few things...

    a) friendly/ comedy indv. (every single one)
    b) patient and even generous when a rider is down/ or needs a repair kit
    c) most importanly, they never give up and pedal 110%

other things that come to mind on todays ride...
First of all, thanks to Jay for setting the ride up, the guy can put out some P O W E R, wouldn't want to challenge him on a sprint. Also thanks for the dollar bill, held the tire-up just enough to get home..

Chewyeti, he's a newbie on the road but warms up going 20mph, haha, give him 3mnths, he's gonna crush us.. How about the Dizle, I was drafting off his single speed, kinda embarrasing when you have gears but thats how fast this kid goes up or down. ah, I forgot the dude that cut out short for his BBQ, the guy could climb/ hold a high tempo thru Santiago Cyn..

everyone on the ride had a great performance, thank you..

Hey guys, awesome riding with you all yesterday! Met some new faces and one or two I was familiar with. Was a pleasure meeting you all!

Dizle... you ROCK that fixed gear man. Nice ride!
The guy in the Rock Racing kit, pleasure meeting/riding with you!
The guy with the Pearl Izumi argyle jersey: FAST! and climbs like a rocket!
Chewy, always a pleasure and fun to ride with!

I turned around and headed for home just after Cooks Corner. Would have loved to ride the whole day with you guys, but I had some folks coming over for BBQ. It was damn good:

Great riding with you all, I'm sure we'll meet up again soon.

I stopped at Irvine park on the way back to refill the water bottle and had a Dusty sighting! She was resting in the shade with her grandson after taking him for a ride on the local trails. Soon he'll be kicking our butts!
