The only way the Rangers would buy it is if we added an Arroyo Toad leg deep fry to the party.

How's the rest of the trails out there. The main loop can get pretty soupy in a few places. Were the other bridges affected? I never really parked across from the visitor center so it's not a big impact for me. About the only thing that that closure does is kills the Slaughter House connection. What are people doing now, riding the pavement to the other parking lot?

    Santa Rosa Re-Opening?

Does anyone know if SRP is open again? I was planning on riding tomorrow morning but don't want to waste my time if it is still closed.:?:

fyi just called up srp and they stated that they are now open. two sections are closed though however, one being where the bridge got washed out, and not too sure about the second.

Just got back from there, and the hiking lot across from the Horse/biking lot is open, but there is no access for bikes. Damn I wish they would just open back up.:protest:

I rode it when it first opened up...IMHO it still needed some dry time..the main entrance sylvan meadows trail had some real muddy spots and lower fence line was a disaster. The trails were getting pretty tore up in those areas. I think the closure is as much to let it dry out as it is to repair the bridges...All the small wood bridges going up stevenson were displaced.

I am not a fan of riding through a mud bogs..I don't mind waiting for a bit..

There is always - The Farm, Vail, the 951, Simpson (hemet) that are close by...and Sycamore canyon north and Daley Ranch south

Simpson and Sycamore have become my regular places while the Plateau has been down and out. Great places to ride, but cant beat SRP being ten minutes away.

Thanks, I found out too late. Packed up the gear, my buddy and I rolled out and found that it was closed. So we came home and went on a road ride. Either way we were turning gears. Thanks.

Is Simpson pretty self explanitory meaning is it easy to get lost or is it nice and open like SRP? I've never ridden there and actually thought it was closed. Where's the 951? SRP is a nice quick after word ride that's like 10 minutes from the house if that but its really not that technical. It's like a quick hit to tide you over till you get the real thing. lol

Just rode SRP last night and its was a beautiful evening up there. I rode for a little over an hour and as I was leaving there was a parade of cars/trucks with bikes coming up the hill. Most of the mud is gone (only two spots I had a water crossing) and it was a great ride. Head on out and enjoy the goodness of SRP! :bang::clap:

If SRP is closed shoot across the highway to FBMH. More land than SRP and more climbing.
