    I'm blushing LOL! :)

Nevegal on the back with the tread facing the grippy way into the dirt and blue groove up front with the tread facing the directional way.

SS should be ready, Reba fork is ready to go on and the only real thing to do is grease the headset.

Sank 3 cups of green tea with antioxidants as a medicinal remedy [-o-]

4 Sierras this week and a pint of 'Interstellar' last night. I think thats pretty medicinal - all good ingredients and the stress reducing benefits msut be good. Doctors ought to prescribe it: 'Mr. Bowen this is serious - go home and have a Sierra by the pool or you may not make it through the day!' :)

hahaha!! Try a few apples, maybe ;)

BTW, I have two cups of green tea everyday and they aren't doing anything. But, the warm-ish temp and the honey have been throat-soothing.

I'll try the honey in some warm milk at lunch time - it actually sounds pretty nice - got to watch that sugar content tho.

I have a cough still, from being sick last week, and I had a visit to the dentist yesterday--not that I'm making excuses ;)

Yeah, so far this month (and it has only been 11 days) I've got 124 miles and 11 hours of ride time.

We should all just take tomorrow off :D

I'll have a few, but probably not enough for everyone! I'll bring a few extra Guiness' and Fat Tires. Maybe someone else can contribute also.

Looks pretty good. Hope to lend my support to the geared contingent--we may be outnumbered, but we're fierce when cornered. Watch out!

I'll supply my own - I jsut want to see you carry it!

I'll be drinking to the possible demise of one of my Crossmax rims. The rim is badly dinged - it may have to go to the great bike shed in the sky :(

Hey Mauric, sorry I didn't respond earlier. Have you ridden Holy Jim at all?

San Juan is about a 5 mile climb up switchbacks. There are some rocks, some really buff decomposed granite, some loose DG... The switchbacks aren't too bad. They aren't as easy (for me) as those on Holy Jim, but I think it's just the exposure that gets to me. I have ridden all of the switchbacks down on Noble now also, so I really should be making more at San Juan.

There are a few steep sections, but nothing too bad. It's just basically a grind from the parking lot, though. Unfortunately it's pretty narrow singletrack, so there are very few good places for a group this large to re-group. I will ask whoever goes out in the lead to try to wait for re-groups where possible and the rest of us can just make sure that every now and then the people behind us are still doing okay and just grinding along.

At about mile 5 there's a nice little descent through a rocky section that breaks up the climbing and helps give you some more energy for the last part of the climb, which is pretty rocky and technical (IMO). We'll all break at Cocktail, though it'll be crowded. We'll head up the trail to the left, which is hike-a-bike for most, and hit a few more hike-a-bike sections. There's a fun descent with roots and rocks and stuff. A bit more climbing.. we'll make a right at four corners and probably hit up a figure 8 of Chiquito as everyone seems interested in doing. I haven't done that as part of San Juan, but there are some rocky sections to play on. Probably some more hike-a-bike for me :D

The remainder of the lollipop loop is somewhat undulating, but mostly climbing it seems to me. Lots of rocks. Some you can ride over, some of us will need to hike again. Then we'll be back at cocktail rocks. Another break to eat and rest up. Then we all put our saddles down, put on pads and the fun begins :)

So, there are 10 RSVP's and 9 maybe's. I have a few more that may join on email. So, we *may* end up having 24~ people. That's a lot.

dood, with 20 people it's going to be a long day. Everyone will have to deal with it.

This is a suffer-fest. Anything less and it wouldn't live up to its name in the first place!!

Well, I will be sporting a 22t Guiness Gear, but

Then again, I swear I heard Fat Tire mentioned back there somewhere, so you're welcome to take your chances!!

If any survive the evening, I'll bring along a few post-ride coldies as well. See you all tomorrow!
