Hi all, I'm new to STR and getting back to biking after a 1-year hiatus (grad school and 5 bikes getting stolen). Now that I'm done with all that, I'm more stoked to ride than ever! My new ride is a Yeti 575... I'm from the East Coast (Mass.), lived in AZ for a short time (Mesa...miss the riding in Phx!!), and have been in SD for two years. Looking forward to getting back out on the trails soon and meeting some new SD folks.
Yeah-ah Massachusettes! The STR San Diego crew is really coming together. Did your husband get a new bike too? We should get a few Florida Canyon training rides in after work during the week. I don't know if you've ridden there, but they're close to both of us, and have a surprising amount of singletrack for being in the city. :welcome:
after work rides Yes, Dan (my b/f) just ordered up his Yeti 575 too (okay, at least they are not going to be matching colors!) Two of his bikes got stolen too....... After work training rides would be GREAT! Right now I have a SS that I can ride in the meanwhile. I have only done a small amt. of riding at FL canyon. Been running a ton (half marathon Sunday and marathon in Oct) but need to get my biking legs back! What days are best for you??
Hmm.. I'll do a quick ride there Tuesday. I'm riding La Costa Wednesday and maybe Thursday (if anyone RSVPs). So, I may be available Thurday too. Let me know. PS Your 575 is perfect for La Costa.

Sorry guys, Mountain Bike Action just announced that the Giant Reign is the new Yeti 575:lol: I think I know a spot "Somewhere in San Diego" that Denmother and SDyeti would like to ride sometime...
Denmother and I are DH buddies...we know each other from my very first race (she made sure I didn't splat myself at Boulder City!)...not sure who's crew it is up there in the 909 but ya'll are welcome down here!
Hmmm... I'm thinking of a Red Sox player... has a parkway named after him... and a Tunnel in Boston that goes to Logan airport....
