We'll see what happens Friday nite into Sat. morning with the 30% chance of rain. I would hate to move the date.

I'll be out on trail all day tomorrow (wed). Mostly on the SJC side, throwing down some arrows.

The mild Santa Anas should help dry out the Weed Patch. Should be perfect for Sat's ride, grasshoppers.

I'm planning on a water drop at the end of Avenida Telega. I think it's around mile 16? I may have another stash of h20 over in the SJC side as well.

    Here's the latest.
As of today, the trail is 100% marked!! The only part that I left undone, is the first pavement climb out of the skate park. If we all get lost just getting to the dirt, it might be a long day.
I went back over some of the marking I did last week and fixed it (the last rain we had did a little damage).

I will have some small maps that will help in the neighborhood areas. There 2 short spots of public streets that I just could not figure out how to mark. So you get a map.

    I'm doing my wind dance.

was out gettin some this morning and the trails are perfect... Saw quite a few arrows but just did my normal thing since I had to make it into work and had limited ride time.

saw one other person out and they said there was poison oak in places. I didn't see any cause I was more concerned about riding the rollercoaster :bang::bang::bang:

Rain in the forecast for the morning..... What's the plan? If it's drizzling or mild rain faill, or if it rains hard Friday night, are you still going? If plans have to be changed, how and when do you think you'll send out the word? Thanks for all your word and effort on this Hobbs. I hope a strong wind rises up and pushes the potential rain somewhere other than San Clemente! I'll put that up at the bedside prayer time ;-)

    Hope to see everyone.....

If it's too wet to ride, we'll all convoy to the bottom of SJT and do the SJT-los pinos loop.
I think the trail will be fine with just a little rain. A lot of rain and we're hosed.

I'll be there at 6:30am and post some updates. I'll be dropping water no matter what happens.

Just a heads up...just checked the forecast, and the rain prediction is up to 70%.

Which is definitely not the direction i was hoping that number would be trending...

Darn!... hopefully, it may stay to the north. If not, you will not want to ride in the mud at the Weed Patch... I did that and spent hours cleaning the bike. There are plenty of other weekends that we can do this.

Any rain will make a long drive impossible.

Sure could make it difficult, though early saturday morning might not be too bad. I'd be more concerned about the soil out at weedpatch if it gets a lot of rain.

I'd say thinks to our much-maligned road system that, while the drive might be unwieldy or just plain god-awful slow, barring widespead flooding and the collapse of our freeway infrastructure, the drive would in fact be possible.

Kind of like the second death star: it might not look it, but it would be fully operational.
