Ok, by now everyone has seen this video: As you can see it looks rediculously fun...if I had the skills to ride most of it. Then I browse through Pinkbike and I find this vid. http://www.pinkbike.com/video/13285/ The two trails look very similar. It's obviously somehwere in the Pacific Northwest but as many places as it was posted, nobody knew exactly where. I'm pretty sure I might have found the precise location and I am bummed to find out that it is almost certainly an illegal trail. What a shame.
After looking at the other vid again, I think I'm wrong (what's new :lol I was thinking of this: http://www.socaltrailriders.org/forum/adrenaline-factory/26883-stinc.html
I didn't want to post it since it was an illegal trail but since MFoga spilled the beans, it's in Washington, just east of Seattle. Actually very near Tiger Mountain which I know a few of you have actually ridden.
Gotta trust your skills on that one. At my current skill level, I'd hit the first gap, come up short, and...well...gather up my body parts and find an easier trail. Looks like fun if you've got the chops.
It wasn't exactly hard to find, search exit 27 trail and there it is. That is why I posted it. The link does say its illegal and who knows if the coordinates are right i know you would have a hell of time finding with out help if they arent right.
Why are you bummed to find out its an illegal trail? If you had the oppurtunity to ride it would you not ride it because its illegal? I would also like it if the trail was legal but I would still ride it.
If you want some trails that are similar to whats on the Vid, try Black Rock Mountian Bike Area. It is just outside Falls City Oregon. Check out their website http://brmba.org/ (very slow). As you enter into the park they have an area called basic training where they have all sorts of obstacles of different sizes that you can try and hone your skills. Then you ride up the mountain and take one of several trails down, all loaded with obstacles (each has a go-around - I used them alot!). It's alot of fun and these volunteers have done a GREAT job!
