    Hill In Fort William Smash

    Sam Hill had a massive crash during official timed practise today at Fort William.

    The latest news is that he has been to the local hospital for xrays to his shoulder.

    Team mate Brendan Fairclough said “Sam doesn’t normally moan about injuries but he was looking pretty bad”

    Healing vibes out to Hill and hope he’s back in the saddle for Sundays final.

    From the gondola I saw Hill slumped on the grass looking very shaken near the fast rocky drop/left hander a few corners up from the entry to the woods.

    Happended just below a freinds marshall point. Medics attended, but not serious. Just super annoyed with himself !! I mean he HATES Fort Bill after all !!

    Specialized has said it isn't carbon. Just the vinyl decals hiding welds.

    Those rims were never meant to be a DH rim. Hill, Minnaar, Peaty - those boys have been playing with fire riding a rim that light. EX1750 is a lightweight, all-mountain wheelset.

    Ft. Bill kills rims anyway (as do most WC DH courses).

    Hope Sam is OK and ready to race. Go Gwin!

    I love how a bunch of people seem to know better then these racers and their mechanics.:lol:

    Back to Sam Hill. Saying no broken bones, just ligament damage. He started the qualifier then pulled off since he qualifies no matter what. Looks like the plan was to rest it today and go for it tomorrow.
