Warning: this RR in non-O.C. centric.

I made a solo jaunt out to Sulli Ridge today. The wind and sun dried the trails to perfect grippyness. Sulli singles was re-dozed as a firebreak a short while back and the trail gnomes have been hard at work adding some nice features to the singletrack. It's still a work in progress but everything is fast, fun and do-able on a XC bike and fun on a jumping bike. The rains made a few new ruts but they'll fill in soon enough.

Pre-ride Peets! (this one is for Joe Truth)

Now if only it was in O.C., it'd be perfect! ;)

    killer sunset tonight

those berms are really new, I had been noticing all of the other new work lately.

I think I still prefer the old -straight up- climb line on the section below the tree rather than the new meandering one.

I think it needs a couple more meanders. I'm going to add another switch between the 2nd and 3rd. Wanna help? :)

    Hey I Was There Too!

After Endo came down from taking these photos I met him at the bottom of Sullivan fire road, (it is the fire road next to Jedi or Sullivan Singles as others call it). Anyway we climbed up to the top and took a couple self portraits with the setting sun in the background. Endo took off toward the valley and I headed down Jedi.
Apart from the deeper ruts, the trail is in good shape. The work we (weekly Wed. Cynergy night ride) have been doing is really holding up so far and getting ridden in.
It is a blank slate up there and it is really open to any improvements people want to make. I have to say the jumps look much bigger in the photos than they are. The good thing is there is plenty of room on the trail for the jumps as well as a line without right next to them. The winter rains will continue the normal erosion but that kinda goes without saying. So things will change the way they always do and we'll have to just improve on what mother nature leaves behind. See you out there.

I love Jedi! You can go down that thing in warp speed. Nice sunset!

Ron, if you were a true "Peetnik", you would not be drinking a child size Peets java.
