My original plan was to start with 5 Oaks and finish with five Oaks, BUT at the last minute one of my old friends showed up and talked to me into doing Mentally Sensitive first. Since I am always down for any new technical trail, I went for it. So the route was:

Up Meadows - Mentally Sensitive- Five Oaks- Cholla- Down and up Stair steps- Rock it- Mathis - Car wreck- Cholla - Lynxs- Five Oaks.

Well, it is easy to say but hard to do, especially going up Meadows. It was our first climb but it was challenging. All the climbs were hard but the joy of all the down hill was worth it. By the time I was down with Lynxs and on the way to finish with Five Oaks, I was out of legs and water. "quitting" came to my mind, but I said to my self "no, you got to stick to the plan" so I turned on my "tiger mode" and kept going. Luckily as I was riding through "Milf Park" I saw a couple friends and they were able to spare some water to finish my ride. Thanks for the water Tom

    Here are a few pics:

Sounds like about 4000' of Aliso style climbing, including up Stair Steps. That's a hell of a day and you hit the most challenging the park has to offer (except off-the-grid). Remind me never to ride with you! Thanks for the pics.

loose? loose makes it fun..:bang: first time I have done it, but yes it was loose in some sections

Yes it was, after a few climbs I knew why nobody joined my ride.

Thanks Rox. It was hard and hot, but "tiger mode" takes care of it

your route starting from the main lot and trekking all the way to milf park and then finishing with 5 Oaks and trekking all the way back didn't sound fun. too much unnecessary pedaling.

Lol, Vino, crazy route. I was out riding with the path (cholla, rock-it, coyote, mathis, meadows, dripping cave, coyote). Didn't see you, but I but ran into sircrashalot around rock-it.

That's a tough route. It sounds like you two had a blast.. That Jay friend of yours has a cunning resemblance to my buddy Jake. He even rides the same bike. Lol.

Good seeing you out there Vino! Glad I was able to help you out with some water. You were looking pretty drenched when we saw you. We had a great ride ourselves going over to LCWP/El Moro and back. The bee sting in the lip coming down Lynx was pretty painful and about 2 hours later my lip looked like I had a full dose of collagen shots. Luckily the antihistamine tablets I bought on the way home helped. Let's hook up and ride together one of these days.

Ohhhh yeaahhh... Trails that do not exist, and if they did, we wouldn't be able to talk about them on STR.
