I am not going to judge you and call you names because you disagree with homosexuality.....unless you are including hot young lesbians, because lets face it, even God would agree that, that is ok. :)

But what I am saying is, that because you feel it is morally wrong does not give you or anyone else the right to tell me what is moraly incorrect.

    No on 8 Here!

Sadly and admittedly anecdotally, I'm seeing more overt support for a "Yes" vote on 8 than against (bumper stickers, lawn signs, etc). I think the "No" vote might have been caught flatfooted here--since there's no justifiable reason to restrict the rights of 2 consenting human Americans from marriage. Religion is the only reasonable offer I've heard, and quite honestly, I stretch to call it reasonable--no offense. I hope this goes down in a flaming defeat, but I worry it may not at this point. Still 2 weeks to go.

Here's an interesting analysis for the poll junkies like myself.

OH!! Miss veronica Gonna be So happy now!!

    Ah. about prop 8....

California already enacted the first "domestic partnership registry" in 1999 and has passed NUMEROUS Bills supporting our gay and lesbian friends unions since then. Lots of info here The governator vetoed a bill about this twice, So it's going to a vote.

Personally, I don't like legistature that gives any group more rights than others.

I'm not here to sell my point of view, but I am voting yes on Prop. 8 for moral and religious reasons.

Don't think people are stupid or have a low IQ just because they have an opinion different from yours. That says more about your IQ than anything Maxxisracing has said.

Now as far as that goes, Maxxis that fact that you and others disagree on the issue of gay mariage is your constitutional right. Having said that it is not your constitutional right to deny people their rights because they don't fit your ideals. It's not an issue of right or wrong. Gay relationships don't harm anyone, so if a majority of people vote to allow them then thats the law. There is no morality in this except for the immorality of discrimination. Gay people aren't descriminating against religious groups by being together, so please give the same courtesy.

    Quick!

Where do you go to get a marriage license?

    A Church or a County/City Clerks Office.

That's all you need to know and understand.

I don't know about that. Remember, this law was already passed in California once. The government overturned it.

From the way I understand it, this proposition comes down to semantics. Marriage has been traditionally recognized as a union between a man and a woman. The proposition does not strip gay couples of any rights that are enjoyed by man-woman couples. Gay couples have the same rights which are protected by the domestic partnership laws and those will not be affected by this proposition. Yes voters believe that gay couples should simply call their union something else besides a "marriage". They would like to differentiate between the two types of unions (they are after all, different, wouldn't you say?).

Without flaming like a madman, please let me know if my understanding is incorrect.
