    I've got a question:

I've been riding a lot more recently, and I'm starting to build up blisters on my hands. particularly right at the base of my rings fingers

Just wondering if anyone has any good ideas for how to keep them to a minimum, or how to get them to callus over nicely so they aren't so much of a problem.

fwiw, they tend to bother me more when I'm doing more street style stuff, like working on my manuals, doing random street stuff, jumping, or other things like that. not so much a problem when doing XC and usually not when doing DH either.

just wondering, since I've had guitar calluses that form really quickly, and these havn't done anything for almost a month.

+1 to ride more. My calluses came from taiko. MTBing just maintains them now that I'm not playing anymore. Maybe take the gloves off for the climb :?:

For me...gloves make a diff..seems the way the glove material folds onto that area of my hand, It gets worse if I use gloves that have a seam there.

Chamois Butt Butter will help stop calluss's. Oh wait you said on your hands, I think you might need a girl friend to help with those

I have that same problem... but mine are on all on the base of my left and right fingers... I switched to "Odi lock-on Grips - Rogue" and callus are almost gone! grips are thicker and softer...

I was wondering the same thing. my gloves do bunch up right there, so maybe that's it. havn't found any gloves that dont so far though...

that's my grip of choice. on all but one of my bikes, so that's not the problem ;)
